Good chance that Elmo will destroy himself before he completes his job of destroying us as his personal & professional life collapses. Remember, he is not actually intelligent, has horrendous judgment, has ready access to drugs, & no one around him will tell him no.

Just finished a 3 day criminal trial as a member of the jury. The presiding judge visited us in the jury room after the trial, commending us on our service and reminding us how encouraging it was to see 12 random strangers still able to find unanimous common ground. Flicker of democracy remains.
