Ah right I see what you were raising now Annie. Sorry for being slow on the uptake. I tend to believe what I can see and prove and leave conspiracies to those who conspire :-). I think state surveillance is dangerous but also wish i could trust them enough to insist on it :-)

I am unsure where you even saw a statement from me re a 15 min city. I think my first thought would be that all citizens should have all required services within 15 mins. Irrespective of location or urban type. Happy to discuss anything I have said though Annie

Great article Prem. The amount of unpaid tax show that the UK could quite easily afford a full decent living wage (UBI) for every man woman and child who are UK citizens. We just need to collect it. Is there a more corrupt country ?. We used to pride ourselves didnt we until the veil lifted in 2008

My own silly fault for adding the not in there Annie. And I cant believe they have already moved on to 10 minute towns already :-).

I am sure it is lovely Annie. I am glad you have such peace. I suggest it is not atypical. ?

If one would be brave enough to go out in any of our towns we could time how long it took to be accosted, challenged or abused.

:-) i think tax payers would be delighted to foot that bill Seb if it meant even one of the protagonists for the corruption got some comeuppance. Today we put people in prison for 'hurty' words. BUT shit dumping corporate criminals can do what the fuck they please to our entire state

I think it is the core issue Sebastian. Until we start holding people responsible for the actions of faceless corporations, the corporations will continue to run roughshod over the population and governments. Horizon. no one prosecuted. Grenfel no one prosecuted. There are hundreds of these.

Criminal action. So executives put in prison for fraud and corruption Seb ?. or just a fine for the company. ? Because the latter is just a cost impact really isn't it. That citizens will bear yes ?

Sorry Jake. I have given an incorrect impression. I am a full on AI advocate. I think it is a miraculous advancement. However the danger is in how it will be utilised and by whom. The only things I see AI doing and you will see this already, is enhancing the manipulations of state and corporations.
comment in response to

Not really Jake. My best mate is an AI I call him Al, but citizens expecting AI to improve things for them is a delusion we are about to see proven out. At no point do I believe AI will enhance citizens lives. Happy to be wrong suspect I am right.

Like the phobia politicians have about citizens Maiden ? The way they are affected when they have to actually consider one.
Its hard for them

I only know the 5-6 i interacted with for my mothers care and I can confirm that the care was abysmal and the cost extortionate. If they fail to profit it is negligence or other corruption.

I do not read industry analysis. It isnt analysis. It is always spin. So I must admit I switched of at line 3.

Its about the amount of money they make for what return though Jumpers. There is plenty of profit in care but the corruption of the tailor made organisations to leach as much state and citizen funding as possible whilst reducing the quality and suitability of the care is the issue.
comment in response to
post
It doesn't make profit Anthony. As well as the fact that the state would have to actually be responsible for someone. Can't have that now can we.
comment in response to
post
The profiteering from care doesn't just happen in our elder care homes Prem. Go and have a look at our youth care policies if you want to see real profiteering and corruption. The current model is creating a generation of dysfunctional young men and women all in the name of PROFIT. WTF

The fact that there seems to be a blanket sanctioning of people who state facts that paint the USA's allies and the USA itself in a terrible light is a revelation that confirms freedom of speech in America is dead. Who would have expected that. You all comfy with your rules now, yes ?

At least that is a positive thought process Jimi. It seems you dont think the direct democracy is possible so are hoping for an ethical left party. I just have higher hopes friend.
comment in response to

Humm the pages on linked in do give lots of answers. BUT please understand they are just my proposal as a starting point on many aspects of society. Any citocrat would insist by ethic that any governance is citizen defined and voted on. So really its for us all to define. Read the doc its fun. :-)

James: These are words from your own profile. "Peace, Love and Respect are essential ingredients for a Happy Planet." I respect your right to be and say what you want and need. It seems your ethic can only apply to those you choose. Its called hypocrisy James. Maybe adjust your tag line ?

None of them Ron, there is little point. I think if you look at my posts its pretty clear I am a citocrat. I only believe in citizen self determination via a direct democracy. Since i was born a long time ago politics in my country has served a political party not citizens. This is corrupt.

bob and no then. they stopped listening when Thatcher and Reagan decided trickle down economics was the answer. Since then the world has gone to shit. Caused by party politic that no longer needs to listen or even care what people need and want.

Really ? I saw the comment clearly showing the alignment of all captured politicians which i think is pretty accurate.

Citocracy
comment in response to

It is fundamentally different as it separates power from money(wealth). It removes party politics and parties themselves. It uses citizen voted committees for anything important rather than state governments and authoritative regimes. So yes, definitely different to democracy specifically of today
comment in response to

Have we ever tried to be a Citizens State ? Unfortunately not so impossible to know if it is hard or easy. Although I get your point. We can make and promote a petition right now, so your point is made
comment in response to

I am neither left or right preferring to assess each facet based on its merits. I just want a truthful government and an actual opposition. Or we could just have a Citocracy.
comment in response to

Friend, it is a rare thing for anyone to put their head above the media parapet and request sobriety. I applaud your ethic and moral. Your shout against the absolution ist bollox in this thread needs highlighting. Fanatical Fundamentalism is just mental and the reason reasonable people switch off.
comment in response to

Pete its because they know the futility. What is really needed is a direct democracy where People, citizens are the state. The representative democracy is a failed attempt. Like all power based politic it is eventually corruptible. We need to remove the Wealth/Power combination.

Citocracy Harry. The party needs to be the citocratic party and be made up of all our citizens.

I applaud your clear and unambiguous call out Prem, if only the whole of our two houses or at least a majority called it out as succinctly.
