It’s Election Day, Canada. Go vote Canada Strong.

The interesting part is that immigrants are blaming the "other" immigrants. The ones that are not "good", "white", "religious, etc.... like "us".

It's election day for Canada, make an informed vote.🍁

You know who doesn’t have a problem getting their voters to show up? The Conservatives. It’s this simple: if Liberal voters stay home, the Conservatives will win. Go make your vote count.

I just downloaded a Canadian Mortgage Calculator for Excel from @Vertex42. They have an awesome suite of financial tools. Check it out! www.vertex42.com

Given the literal definition of deportation is removing a foreigner or noncitizen from the country, we - journalists, media orgs - should probably all stop referring to the ‘deportation’ of a 2 year old US citizen. It’s NOT a deportation. I’m not sure what it is. A kidnapping?

If you think a just-fertilized ovary is entitled to life but are indifferent to what happens to a kidnapped 4-year-old with cancer, sent to a dangerous country without meds, you don’t give a fuck about the lives of children. You are just in a cult that fetishizes being against abortions.

If deporting US citizen children with cancer isn’t your redline, it’s time to reassess your priorities.

You can’t say criminals don’t deserve due process when due process is the thing that decides if they're criminals. Otherwise you're just kidnapping people you don't like.

Im with Judge Hannah Dugan

Let’s start with the basics.

Lots of people I know that were furious about kids having to wear masks are real quiet about a two year old citizen being wrongfully deported

Cliff Notes edition of Project 2025, in case you didn’t study before the test.

I have a blog post ready. It's here: terikanefield.com/your-brain-o... When the Guardian, the Telegraph, and @jenmercieca.bsky.social recommended The Ideological Brain by Leor Zmigrod, I figured I should get a copy and read it. So I did. I'll start with a 2 picture summary of the book ⤵️ 1/

We know. What are you doing about it? Complaining to us? We did our job. That’s why you have a platform. Either lead your revolution or stand aside, I’ve no more time for your complaints.

Social solidarity requires fair taxation and shared sacrifice. My latest column is out, in which I discuss what is missing from the current national mobilization to resist Trump’s assaults. If we’re in an economic war, why aren’t we talking about war taxes? www.nationalobserver.com/2025/04/24/o...

Foretold?

Personally, I think it should be front page news for at least a month if a sitting US President is using falsified evidence to try and deny due process to a man who has committed no crime, but that’s just me

Happy Easter

The good news is that the constitution provides ways for Congress and the Judiciary to reign in a power-hungry president. The bad news is those people are all scared of him.

The sophisticated drums drive this song and the varied vocal effects of the lead singer pulled me in. The live snip is good but I love the images of the official video version. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsJ4...

Timely reminder for Canadian voters. By law, your employer must give you 3 consecutive hours to vote, and they cannot deduct the time off from your pay. For more info, go to elections.ca

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.
