The reason the CBC is so lacklustre in their programs is the continual cuts they've had to endure since the 60's. I'm old enough to have read about these in the papers and remember that ALL parties in power have been slicing away during those decades. Want the CBC better? Fund them properly. Simple.

Understandable as to why though. For decades we haven't had 'crazies' running around trying to dismantle the country. Fast forward to today, and yes, with the threat of the CPC emboldened by the likes of Trump, we could be facing some serious unnecessary challenges. The CPC is a disease for sure.
