Religious freedom was once wildly unpopular. Votes for women. Ending the criminalization of gay people. Abolishing slavery and Jim Crow. Liberal democracy. None of these things became reality without doing the hard work of persuading people that they were right. Neither will freedom of movement.

I was fifteen when this aired. The first 50 minutes were the usual silliness, and the last ten hit you like a punch in the gut. It was a great show, and a tragedy that it had to air.
