Although the puppetry/animatronics look slightly dated, I really like the introduction and design of the Xenomorph Queen. It's unsettling and intimidating. It's also pretty interesting the exchange it and Ripley have in the nest when she is rescuing Newt. Sort of game recognizing game.

It's also hilariously unfortunate how overconfident the marines are, only to get their cheeks clapped immediately at first contact. As their numbers are whittled down, Kyle Reese, er, Hicks, Ripley, Newt, and Bishop are our final survivors.
