Love his little beaming face here. Never seen him so happy on stage and he seemed to be sweetly amused by the crowd’s decision to sing along to the melody of Steady, As She Goes rather than the words.

The film’s out in May and well worth your time. I was shamefully unfamiliar with the music of Emíliana Torrini but I’m headed off to listen to the Miss Flower album this film is built around right now.

Best moment of the night was when John Maclean did his intro then as they were all leaving the stage, the bolder actors stepped up to the mic and blurted out a few words. Tim Roth said something and walked off then McCann stepped up to the mic and just said “Yarp”.

I have every confidence you can make it to this, Vicky — and you absolutely should, if you can!

It’s undeniably moving because the subject is emotive but I found it pretty disappointing.

Depends on the type of thing you like. It’s not by any stretch an exciting film but it does paint a really rich picture of a character (and family) having a crisis due to unresolved issues. It’s very moving.

If you look at it purely through the lens of what you find pleasing and positive and not as a legitimate character study of someone who isn’t positive, well I suppose it does. One of the best films of the year though.

The guy who said this then proceeded to loudly clear his throat and belch every 90 seconds for the next two-and-a-quarter hours.
