This is very harrowing as someone cutting their teeth making a living doing creative work. I work a bar job to make ends meet. I look at my schedule and try to figure out what the critical mass is to go full time art. impossible. You're right for speaking up, you're owed more than you'll get.

Brilliant as usual πŸ˜‚

Please do, I play the Jazzier tracks of Memories of Tokyoto at my cocktail bar. Benton-Cho Boogie has impeccable vibesπŸ‘Œ

I thought you phrasing was odd and then I looked at the third image and thought pwhoah those are some nice textures and shapes haha

It's not intelligent at all. It's algorithmic. There is not thought or artificial intelligence at any stage of This generative content

It's not tacky at all. It's a genuine artists resource that hasn't been corrupted by shareholders and profit margins. The firm ideology of being aggressively pro artist is what distinguishes it from every other stock photo library ❀️

Legitimately up there as maybe my favourite animated movie. Don't see people talking about it enough. You should have seen my face when I stumbled across the hard back manga of it

Really cringe tbh

I sunk 1600 (all of my savings at the time) into a nice intuos pro tablet and enjoyed it for a bit. Then the screen started having dead pixels that spread across the screen like dust. Only had the damn thing for 3 years. Bought a massive huion for a third of the price and have never looked back.

Gorgeous, nature produces spectacular textures.

Take away education, take away money, take away the constitution, take away healthcare, take away lives. The erosion is gradual but perpetual. If you have to take a step back on one front you take 2 more forward in another whilst everyone's distracted. Slowly you start to reformat what normal is.

I like your aesthetic for these, they all look like they could all have names and personalities. Despite the lack of expressive features, I feel like the roundness makes them quite endearing

Mmm hot crispy colours, makes me think of watching kaiju movies and mecha anime as a kid with no idea what I was looking at but being hyped.

Very nice 🧐

Terrible job please stop. (Reverse psychology)

I draw all sorts, kinda edgy selection here, couldn't find anything else on my phone??

Top right is a vehicle I would treasure and get overly attached to. He looks like a Stanley to me. Never thought I'd find a street cleaner buggy cute but here we are. Top notch designs, wish I could draw hard surfaces that cleanly!

It's a textbook trap, "if it seems to good to be true, it probably is". What possible reason would they have for mass layoffs? And when you realise the money isn't even likely to materialise, I mean impartially just based on precedent, the offer starts to become less appetising...

If people know about it, they will try it, and if they try it, they will almost certainly become a repeat customer or recommend it to other artists. True ref got my internet strangers seal of approval πŸ†

I feel like subs and one off purchases would be two separate demographics economically for the most part, but there's still money to be made and you guys deserve as much money as poss I've never seen anything but honest business from trueref and the product is always totally worth it πŸ‘Œ
comment in response to post
Yeah, makes sense. You have the data, if it's more viable as a subscription do it, just remain vocal about how to access single packs so new viewers realise it's an option πŸ‘ people do get turned off by recurring fees and might not look further if its all thats advertised yknow?
comment in response to post
As someone in your sales demo that has bought your resources before, the ability to just pay for the one pack you want was the deciding factor to hand you my money when I was skint. Maybe gumroad is the only platform you sell single packs on but present both options to peopleπŸ™ you do great work

Stunning. Might pinch that for my phone background

I can see the parallels making sense, but a lot would need additional confirmation. The ex friend could be bitter but that doesn't necessarily mean the events and points aren't true. At this stage should be taken with a grain of salt. The AI and free labour do seem the most supported issues.

Absolutely no problem with that. I find it hilarious that the only company I've seen calling themselves out and apologising is the onion

Mmm good answer, same thinking here but even more beginner than you lol. You're the first person Ive interacted with on here so I will remember when I see you doing cool stuff with it πŸ‘‰πŸ‘‰

Haha worth a shot! Stunning art btw, out of curiosity do you use blender in your 2D art much or are you using it for separate workflows?
comment in response to post
On a totally unrelated topic... Do we know if there's a way to export AC6 models and textures for mechs into blender? Asking for a friend...
