Yeah. It feels like a meal where the only real consideration was Price Per Plate.

But back to country & yacht club food, it's utterly baffling to me why people who so desperately crave the status of flaunting wealth in front of others choose to eat what it essentially suburban public-school junior high cafeteria food when they get together.

(BTW, I should note that my accumulative experience in these clubs weirdly exists despite the fact that I neither play golf not own a boat, and have never had a desire to do either.)

Wow, in less than 24 hours that's a Varad and an Avi callback in my threads.

2/2 more easily believe a different one, even when they contradict one another. The religious sub-group most likely to believe that aliens 'seeded' humans millions of years ago, for example, are fundamentalist Evangelicals who also believe God made humans (and everything else) 6000 years ago.

One of those messages is intended to reach the law enforcement community, obviously, and let them know illegal violence by them against certain demographics will be tolerated. But another message is absolutely meant for non-white citizens, especially African Americans.

Any DOJ office stepping into any state/city legal matter to protect a bad cop from facing consequences is bad. That the Trump DOJ chose *this* particular case, of any they might choose, is terrifying & grotesque when you consider all of the messages it's intended to send.

Like, we think Trump tower is filed with offices and apartments, but mostly almost every floor is just ceiling-high piles of children's dolls .

Nah, they'll still do a healthy amount of fascism apologetics along side the hot dog guys.

In a way it's just another version of blaming everything on kids today.

There is a scene in Sinners where ghosts from the past and future, mostly musicians and dancers, merge into one inside a sharecropper juke join both visually and sonically - and my God it was powerful. I've never seen anything quite like it in a movie before. I literally teared up.
