Researching Seattle for a screenplay I’m writing and discovered the locals here discussed the Civil War as something that happened in a neighboring country. (Statehood came in 1889.)

The real legacy of DOGE will be the hackers DOGE’s unsecured laptops allowed to infiltrate our systems. These chuckleheads couldn’t even launch a WordPress web site, so they don’t have the skills or knowledge to deal with govt level network security.
We may never recover from that exposure.

These clowns put up a WordPress web site for their DOGE org with default security and passwords. It was instantly demolished.
People have no idea how constant and consistent the attacks are against ANY internet-facing system. And the govt ones are the most tasty for the bad guys.

Damage is done. Our adversaries now have access to our internal payment systems, data, and more. The repercussions will be felt for decades … and NOBODY is talking about it.

I guarantee ever single DOGE computer is already compromised. These chuckleheads couldn’t even properly launch a WordPress template site. They have ZERO understanding of the threats govt computers must be secured against BEFORE turning on the machines. (It’s called “default deny” security config.)

Correct. SOP for any computer connected to a government network is for it to be secured in certain ways consumer products are not. Because govt data and systems are constantly under attack and being probed for weaknesses.
DOGE has neither the skills nor knowledge to properly secure a computer.

So what? What’s far more important is they connected insecure personal laptops to a government network that is - literally - under constant attack from foreign nations. They opened the door wide to all hackers the moment they connected and the damage will be immeasurable. Just wait.

Again, not on topic. This is a company who I liked and respected and who is more successful than any other computer company ever, run by a gay man, genuflecting to the orange shitgibbon. I’m simply taking my first stand against Apple, since 1983.

Not clicking that. Not feeding that site.

I hear ya. But they still make the most reliable and most popular products on the market today. Unlike Turnip, Apple has always been progressive and high quality. But Tim Cook’s kowtowing to Turnip is pure spinelessness. Nothing more.

None of that is relevant to my point. Nor is it even accurate.

Check in with your local government agencies IT Departments. Canadian law prevents Canadian data from being stored outside the country, so we had to buy a data center in BC to store our Canadian data. Govt IT depts will have solved this problem already.

The census is the core of the conservative strategy to keep the minority in leadership against the will of the people. They intentionally miscount specific areas to show demo changes that aren’t real, and allow them to draw new R districts. Remember they cut the last census by 2 weeks.

GenXer here. All of the women my age I know have coloring books and enjoy this simple pleasure. It’s calming and something you can do while talking with friends.

Elkhound owners are the only ones to mention it! Many ask if she’s Akita. She’s half Anatolian Shepherd and half Malamute, in actuality.

The sad part is that there is some clown in his organization who can write like this … and does so for him. #BeBetter

That’s the nice part of the conservative platform: you just make up bullshit that isn’t real and claim you fixed it when nobody can find any evidence of it.

Conservatives understand the power of the Overton Window in a way that we liberals never will.
And they use that power unabashedly.

It’s like when Spotify tries to add Def Leppard to my heavy metal playlist. I’m like, NO! BAD! And slap Spotify on the nose with a rolled up newspaper.

And here I sit reading this in my heat pump heated and cooled house, perfectly comfortable, and it costs the same to run as the BLOWER FAN on my old oil-based heating system.
