Pacific Drive is a good game, but its really a first person roguelike with a car, than open world.

The first time I played a Lance I thought it was awkward and useless and died. Then I discovered a Lance that fit the tribal female hunter look I was going for and I HAD to learn to use it, and never looked back. Lance is now my go-to whenever whatever dumbass loadout I'm trying can't cut it.

Those are awesome movies! I cannot stress enough how much I love the art deco electric numbers in the countdown on the doomsday machine. I want my wall clock to have numbers like that.

I used to think quicksand was something that only existed in movies LOL

PS also the people who made Hades didn't mind writing 100,000 lines of adaptive dialogue tree *in character* for the entire cast of the Greek Pantheon. As a counter-example.

90% of modern programming is like a 1970s example that goes like Student - "I'm teaching the computer to play tic-tac-toe with a random learning structure." Master - "But then you won't know what the actual structure of the computer code is. It will be random." Student - *achieves enlightenment*

Nice!

I have one. It's a Red Dragon compact Kumara. If there's a stiffer, louder, mechanical switch, I haven't encountered it.

Name what era you're thinking of?

Dude, video game music from the 1990s rocks.

Any sort of surgery or procedure with sedation usually has fentanyl. I can't overstate the gravity of this
comment in response to post
Fentanyl is used across the medical field for sedation and pain control across all fields. It's safe and effective at low doses and has a short on/off effect that makes it ubiquitous. There isn't a ready replacement for it and any number of outpatients are on it. You take it off market?

Seconded. I'm in the same boat. I've seen some fun comics with Gardevoir but, really, the whole Ralts evolutionary line was WTF territory from the second I met Wally and saw what pokemon he was rocking.

Have not experienced that* *single player, on the switch lite.

What happened at 10:00?

This is what the horrifically depressing nuclear war movie "threads" was about, modern life depends on so many specialized people our technical systems just CAN'T "tank" losing any random 50%, 30%, 10% or even 5% of the population, it will eventually collapse.
comment in response to post
I imagine that happening somewhere else completely unexciting but more important than it seems, like a sewer maintenence department, or people who inspect eggs for quality and disease, or cooling pipes cleaners in nuclear power plants.
comment in response to post
Fun fact the department in NASA that saved the apollo 13 astronauts by solving problems quickly was a "rogue" office that unofficially sucked people away from other rooms in the building. It just sort of happened. It would never have survived an audit.
comment in response to post
Yup. I've come to the belief there are highly specialized systems that require a room of like 5 people you'll probably never meet or hear about to function.

The fuck? Thats literally how much Germany 1930s imagery can we throw in without adding a swastika.

The everything is smooth and glossy effect is enhanced by them slightly compressing / blurring the AI image, not showing it at full resolution, to cover up flaws you'd see if you looked too close.
comment in response to post
I'm also seeing the people using the AIs have trended towards a middle level of quality with bright colors because the flaws are more obvious if the image is too simple or too photoreal.
comment in response to post
AI has developed a distinct art style I can only describe as fully painting everything at max quality when an artist would have stopped at the rough sketch phase, marked flaws to be corrected in red ink.

Wrong business model. I heard a YouTuber say 75% of her money is old videos. She makes her money off the old stuff.

one of the biggest tells that furry porn is ai is when the background is fully rendered

I cannot stress enough how diabolical this bill is. By piggybacking off of a child pornography law, it makes creating artistic nudity or erotic fanfic subject to the SAME PUNISHMENT as child abuse. Same sex offenders registry. There's nothing godly about it. It's the work of the devil.
comment in response to post
It criminalizes mere POSSESSION of pornography, whether you post it online or not, whether you show it to other people or not, you're not allowed to even HAVE it.
comment in response to post
This is an attack on free speech.
comment in response to post
This bill is worded in plain language to encompass ANY artistic or written work containing sexual content. Yes, it WOULD make it possible to sit down and write or draw something that would land you in jail for having done so.

This is an existential threat to Bluesky and everything we're doing on this site. I can't do much from my own state of Michigan except signal boost. This must be stopped.
