Finally migrating from the hell hole and looking for the friendly faces who used to be there. I live a quiet life in rural Suffolk, UK with Himself who still won't retire as he doesn't know how he'd fill his day (!), arthritic dog, 2 cats and 6 chickens.

So they were happier behind the Iron Curtain then? I'm sure Putin would be happy to have them back.

Morning. Yes yesterday was lovely after the overnight rain. Could definitely feel Spring in the air. Was actually tempted out to work in the garden. Oh my aching back! Today I must deal with the brambles I left everywhere after pulling them out from shrubs they'd taken over. Have a good day.

Think he's too scared to come to East Anglia! None of the dates are anywhere near here.

Great tune.

They need to get this sorted out pdq. I was really surprised that Lowestoft didn't follow Great Yarmouth in voting for a Reform MP. It's been run down for years and getting worse. Most of the town shops have closed down and some areas the houses are almost derelict.

Morning Kitty. Think husband is continuing plastering the landing ceiling so might need to go out in the rain to escape the moaning and swearing. I keep threatening to get a man in to do it but he regards it as an affront to his masculinity and DIY skills 😅 Enjoy your day.

Bet he went to the pub instead. Or Greggs! My husband tells me he goes to the Cambridge office on a Wednesday instead of WFH. I haven't bothered verifying it as I enjoy my day to myself too much 😅

Are you sure he went to the gym? I went today and didn't see him there 😉

Didn't give the tax avoiding, profiteering company any of my business this week. Went to the Coop supermarket at Bungay instead. It's an oasis of calm in there compared to Tesco and has lovely wide aisles and no huge queues at the till.

Many of us feel the same. As my blood pressure has recently been v. high + they've upped my dosage I'm doing my best to stay calm and switch off. I find spending time with my animals (dog, cats and chickens) helps as I can focus on their needs and I listen to a lot of audiobooks as well. Take care.

It would have to have something extra added as it's far too bland otherwise.

Oh please yes. She always reminded me of a dark haired version of the Jefferson Airplane singer. A real hippy chick, though for the 90s/00s. She should be on the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury this summer.

Good grief! Hope she's less judgemental of people's failings then than she used to be. Still she'd fit right in with the CofE doctrine as practiced.

I haven't listened in years but your character assessments chime with mine from when I did. Good to know the script writers haven't allowed their characters to develop and improve over time 😅

Perhaps the usual producer was away and they let the work experience kids choose which songs were played?

Well it was one of the best years for music. Well at least the music I liked 😉

That's exactly what I thought. Naughty Paul ripping that off.

Very apt that this is played this week after Rick passed away.

That bass line is a rip off of Papas got a Brand new Pig Bag. Loving Town Called Malice though.

I was just trying to work out if Andy was trying to outshine Paul's jumper which was much more subdued.

Now you're making me feel old. I was in my final year at Leicester Polytechnic. One of my housemates loved this song and played it over and over again.

I've still got the single. No record player though!

It's scary that the Tory Party ever made that woman our PM. Was bad enough that she wrecked the economy but now she has ambitions to wreck the world with her new chums.

Yes I accept he's an old school Tory and there were a few individuals in the Party who did have moral integrity and honesty before the purge I can't say I ever rated Hague among them, especially while he was Leader. Though not as bad as what's come after perhaps he should have stuck to history.

Me too. And thought I didn't know they were still touring!

That's a laugh, a Tory speaking of truth, reason and knowledge. All noticeably lacking in the Tory Party in recent years.

Coming originally from Romania which borders Ukraine Sophie is rightly very concerned about the situation and wants to join in the conversation. I think you should listen to her first hand experience of living there. Looks like she's got lots to say.

End aviation. Everyone at the FAA should walk off the job. All of the pilots and technicians and flight attendants should go on strike. Shut the entire aviation industry down. Move nothing, no mail, no freight, no passengers.

Good god man. You're a mere child. Just wait till you're in your 60s, 70s and if lucky older than that 😉
