The same for me. I served in Vietnam before becoming a citizen. The first thing I did on becoming a citizen was take leave and go home to register to vote. I can proudly state that I have voted in every election since, Federal, State and Local. I have never voted for a Republican.

Why would God be in favor of firearms or weapons of any sort. These idiots need to read the Bible and show me where it says so.

I swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. In 1966. As an immigrant with a green card at the Armed Forces Induction Center in Los Angeles.

He is among the many reasons I left Texas and moved back to Southern California. He truly disgusts me along with his Attorney General

We watched the helicopters working at night during the mountain fire in November. Phenomenal skills and my hat is off to them all.

I have always maintained that conservatives have no sense of irony nor do they have a sense of humor.

Sort of an oxymoron isn’t it? I left Texas after 32 years and move back to California to find saner people. Where I lived in Tarrant County my late wife and I were a blue dot in an ocean of red.

I am an immigrant who came here in 1960 with my family. We came from Scotland and settled in Santa Barbara, California. As white and blue eyed as I was, there were kids in Junior High who let me know I was not welcome. They were a very few who reflected their parent’s views on “aliens”.

I lived in Fort Worth for 32 years and watched the 12th District representation go from Jim Wright to Pete Geren to Kay Granger, the wicked witch of the west in my opinion. Where I lived in Ft Worth my late wife and I were a blue island in an ocean of red. After she passed I moved back to California

This 77 year old Democrat agrees fully with you. I thought that we would see younger Democratic leadership when President Obama was elected. Glad I did not hold my breath. AOC would be just what we need on that committee.

I lived in Fort Worth for 32 years before moving back to Southern California. I don’t miss Texas politics in the least. My late wife and I were a tiny blue island in an ocean of red. I also fell for this until I noticed it was an Onion article. Clever!!!

All the more reason to get the money out of politics. Elections should be publicly funded and the campaign should not last more than 8 weeks.
