Well, the light is still screwed. Reinstalling the dimmer didn’t work either. Not ideal but I did get all the other home repair tasks on my list completed, so I’m calling the weekend a draw.

Nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge!!!!!!!

I can’t believe I see Jones out there wearing 46 and immediately think of Zack Stortini.

This is normie gold and a tone that is going to resonate with a lot of people.

Decided to swap out the dimmer switch in our bathroom, which we never use, for a regular light switch. And because I’m somehow even worse at basic home repair tasks than I thought, we now have no light in the bathroom.

Party before country. Just a complete and total embarrassment.

Once again.

You have to look at it from the perspective of someone looking to change their job title to Governor of Alberta.

Rachel Homan is such a treat to watch. Just an incredible curler.

It’s just Quinn and I tonight, so we’re eating like eight year-olds. More reasonable for her because she actually is eight.

American readers: you probably think this is some combination of silly/fanciful/unrealistic. We take it deadly seriously and will readily die defending ourselves.

banana republic

There are far too many politcians in this province who work really hard to avoid saying "I do not support Donald Trump." And if they won't say that, it seems reasonable to assume their loyalties are at best split. Even if their family "has been in Alberta since the 1800s."

The FLQ kidnapped and murdered Quebec Labour Minister Pierre Laporte, so what does Premier Danielle Smith mean when she says "unprecedented national unity crisis." 😬 www.alberta.ca/release.cfm?...

I will repeat: Danielle Smith is a separatist who is using Canada’s conflict with the United States to try and tear this country apart. The Government of Canada and the Alberta NDP need to stop tip-toeing on this issue and fight.

Seems like Premier Smith was more insufferable than usual today. The tone of this makes me think she’s expecting the Liberals to win the upcoming election. www.alberta.ca/release.cfm?...

Good morning from Edmonton, where the Canadian Prime Minister has hit the ice for morning skate with the Oilers. Not sure if Mark Carney will be in the lineup tonight against the #NHLJets.

Mark Carney skating with the Oilers during practice will drive the mouth breather portion of the fan base nuts. That reaction is almost enough to make me miss the old site.

This was always about trying to make Justin Trudeau and the federal Liberals look bad. And when that’s the goal, Premier Smith becomes John Hammond.

Big, BIG news for Edmonton's two elections this year.

The worst part of this is that she doesn’t actually see Trump as a threat.

The only fair way to handle this is to appoint a team of teenagers to tear this company limb from limb until we find out what kind of financial damage they are hiding and where

Since the question of who gets to (and who shouldn’t) have the first crack at government in a hung parliament is making the rounds again (despite no election call quite yet):

Nothing surprising here. The oil and gas industry sees more oil and gas as the solution to literally every problem.

We're leading North America on parking minimums and zoning, and it's having a noticeable positive effect. Remember, the greenest thing a city can do is increase density.

Our tires are pumped for all the active transportation projects in 2025. Over the next 10 days we're featuring our favs that are making YEG a friendlier place to walk, roll and cycle. Check out the full list in our blog. #yegcc #yegbike #yegwalk pathsforpeople.org/2025/03/tran...

It's a stupid format, so of course he likes it.

Like the folks in most of these news stories, I think the Commissioner is massively underestimating how pissed off Canadians are and how easy this will be to fix. We feel threatened. We don't feel safe. And we're okay with missing the Smoky Mountains or Graceland in response. youtu.be/wyvpyJqHDZw...

well, if it was never for money. it must have been for the cruelty. never have i seen such a critical mass of Dunning-Kruger victims as the clownshow that is DOGE, from top to bottom.

There are still living Navajo Code Talkers. And the people who oppose them are still literal Nazis.

What a fucking child.

I really didn’t have the US making Canada the next Iraq on my 2025 bingo card.

As much as I’d be happy to not see a Conservative Party majority, I’m still only cautiously optimistic about polls like this. The NDP falling being below official party is really something though.

If we're being totally honest, considering all of these people are billionaires running multi-million to billion dollar businesses, the grades should go from F to, at best, F+.
