It's not manufacturing jobs you want, it's a stable job with a middle-class wage, retirement, affordable health insurance, and worker protections that you want. Which isn't naturally tied to factory jobs, but it is naturally tied to union organizing.

This is part of what’s so insane. As they talk about re-shoring and manufacturing they are actively trying to destroy an entire us manufacturing industry that already exists.

We’re only two months in, & they’re cancelling research into pediatric brain cancer. They’re deporting US kids with brain cancer. They’re putting millions at risk of malaria, TB, & polio. I for one will never forgive or forget those who said ‘it won’t be that bad’. 😡

The most surreal and maddening feature of the campaign was that everyone agreed that high prices were the main issue but the guy explicitly, consistently running on a platform of raising everyone’s prices won voters most concerned about high prices. We hammered this time and time again and yet.

I don't want my appliances to be connected to the internet. I don't want them to have blinky lights or touch screen controls or be accessible by phone. All I want is for them to do the one thing they are supposed to do, and to beep less. Hear that, manufacturers? Less beeping.
