It's not manufacturing jobs you want, it's a stable job with a middle-class wage, retirement, affordable health insurance, and worker protections that you want. Which isn't naturally tied to factory jobs, but it is naturally tied to union organizing.

Play by old rules and you'll always get beat
Was met with weird looks by coworkers when I asked if they started out "in pain."
Was told to "walk it off."
This thing really does need to burn to the ground and start over.
that’s some commie shit
anything pro-proletariat and anti-temporarily-embarrassed-millionaire is Russian, not American. I swear to god.
Even the hyper right wall street jackasses are horrified.
Putin’s KGB fucking HATES the idea of the best making money —
in an incredibly Soviet way that you can’t wash the stink off of. they hate wall street. they hate that our vests are happy and still kick their ass
Two things MAGA hates are trade deficits and unions. No coincidence Trump wants to dial us back to a time when tariffs were high and there were no unions.
Beg to differ
Those things come from an equitable society, Sweden being the example everyone quotes, with good reason...
The 0.1% of Americans who own 80% of America have indoctrinated the other 99.9% that such a system is Communism....
"Rest if you must, but don't you quit."
Then, think about our modern day
DAVID and Goliath ➡️ VOLODYMYR ZELENSKYY!
He had his moments too.
In the US, we have the will and power of 300+ million people!
We are all fully capable of stirring the pot too!

ROBOTS!
Capital did not like having to deal with these "uppity" workers tho!
As more people got training, owners pushed back on workers, which is part of this moment too.
Not all manufaturing is equal.
Did you fucking realized that the set up in the garden of the WH looked like exactly like Hitler rallies MF weaks americans ????
I fucking hate you MF !!!
about 20 years ago, there were stories about how cleaning crews would work overnight in walmart stores, and they would get
*locked in
and couldn't leave until the store re opened in the morning
"fun times"
The CEO of GM makes $27.8 MILLION.
Think about that the next time you buy a car.
Parents don’t choose their kids’ careers. Kids do. Parents don’t pay their kids’ student loan debt for life.
White collar jobs: No unions, salary and no overtime.
What we need is lower inequality! Unions and progressive taxation are the way to do it.
The real issue is that technological advancements stopped raising living standards. The amount of ppl living middle class isnt growing, it just changes who can live like that.
Trump can shove his lies up his ass with tge gullibull's he rode in on.
Imagine a country where everyone had a roof over their heads.
Imagine a country where everyone treated each other with kindness.
And yet social democratic countries are the happiest in the world.

No longer the Peter-principal, it’ll be the Trump-lack-of-principal.
We did not like factory jobs.
For good reason.
That is what he is doing.
There is massive offshoring of white collar jobs. This admin was going to focus on this, but it seems corporate influence is pushing in a different direction.
This is not only a loss of job, it’s a knowledge transfer as well.
The first two are almost all done by robots, because robots are really good at doing those things.
From a foreign owned corporation soon retirees lost health benefits from same corporation.
Service, healthcare and teaching...is the best work

Big business owners struggle every day trying to decide if they need to upsize their yacht, plane, or mansion. So really. How taxing are unions on them? Not very.
Shift work outside of say, the town watch, is a product of the industrial revolution. It is there to benefit capital, not the people who do the work.
A factory running only 8-5 is inefficient or has lower demand for "widget".
*apply that logic to an ER, nurses are union members.
Yes, Nurses must be present 24/7 at a hospital (though I have THOUGHTS about their treatment too) but this is not a reasonable comparison.
There is no problem that cannot reasonably be solved in a way that is more equitable for workers. Maybe that means paying triple and providing child care for a late night shift, but I think that’s last ditch.
Efficiency gains from automation means fewer line workers, increased maintenance staffing.
Storing parts costs money, not efficient at large scale and assumes customer continues design.
You haven't gotten any productivity gains by increasing Cap-Ex and humans.
WE WANT FULL COVERAGE LIKE OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES HAVE!
let us aim higher.
Trump ties tariffs to manufacturing, which I agree we need to support. But US has a trade surplus in services, and tariffs from EU etc. will hurt that.
But the stable genius DJT does not understand that.
They can have all those jobs and work them fields too 🤣
