Nope, never. If anything the awareness coming from DEI initiatives made me more critical and thoughtful of what I was teaching, why, and by whom, and that made me a better teacher.

I genuinely use it for everything that I'm not using Obsidian for. :D With the qmd-as-md plugin for Obsidian, you can open any RStudio project folder as a vault and edit QMDs easily. Plus, course assignments, slide decks, websites, you name it. And it looks so dang *clean*.

Start your Zotero library now. Maintain it meticulously. Learn Quarto/markdown/Obsidian for BibTeX. Take notes, organize them, and cross-reference. Never dismiss an idea. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Find your people, hold onto them. Trust your gut. Self-promote. Above all, have fun.
