It was widely reported that the next email would come from agency HR depts and that consequences for not replying would be explicit. More intentional chaos from the guy who doesn’t know Mars lacks an atmosphere for a reason

i spent the 8 months as a federal employee managing emc's verification software. before that, i developed the verification for the gfs.
so here is everyone's favorite gfs verification plot. the one from day i got fired. the plot that my two little hands coded up.

Makes you wonder where the Nuclear Football is these days. Surely nothing to worry about

Not sure I’ve seen such panic expressed, as professionally as possible, through such high levels of the government *on a weekend* as I have the last few hours

“But it’s not compulsory like taxes!”. Cool, but internet and cell phone service should be regulated utilities because they are essential services these days. Let’s do that.

Honestly, the NAM has sniffed out more than a handful of N-trending shifts in its history, but unfortunately I don’t think the issue here is suppression of a Miller A-type. I think the waves will fail to meet on time

You are way more knowledgeable on these issues but it seems we had a superfecta of:
1) Bolstering US manufacturing and weapons production
2) Neuter a top geopolitical foe
3) Grow NATO
4) Zero US losses
And we totally blew it.

That used to maybe work when NOAA wasn’t under the threat of total dissolution, and I’ve seen the newspaper stories like this in frames on the wall at AW HQ in State College, but they are about to fall off that tightrope

If they keep framing stories like this they will unintentionally undercut and destroy themselves. At the VERY least would be nice to see “AccuWeather meteorologists leverage NOAA/NWS data to provide advance warning” or some low bar crap like that
