Completely agree with you here. At least TEI has balance in the sense that not even all the hosts agree on the best path forwards. That's just healthy debate and it's interesting to hear different perspectives. Some prefer to listen just to those whose views align with their own, which is fine too.

True, and for about 8 games at the start of this season that now feel like a lifetime ago.

He bagged a couple of assists at least, so definitely not disastrous like my Kluivert shout!

*that not than.

Just seen the Zabarnyi red card. Looks extremely harsh to me. His foot has rolled off the top of the ball into the opposition player. Bit of common sense needed rather than showing a slow motion that removes that context.

Yeah, they seemed to use the wrong camera angles based on the Sky feed. Really strange one.

It's just so inconsistent. You never see decisions like that reviewed normally. We're always told the threshold to overturn decisions is so high.

I do worry that it might not work out second time around, but it'd still be amazing to see him back in the dugout. I don't think it'll ever happen now though.

I can't help but love Poch watching it back.

Yeah, I think it'll be interesting to see how many are on the road when lease deals and PCPs finish in the next few years. They were considered the best EVs for a decent period of time (may still be) back when Elon was just a billionaire, so it's understandable why people would have them.

I'm just messing around. A couple of years ago, I'd have happily got one myself. Don't think many people are in a position to just bin off a car when the owner of the brand reveals his true self!

Feel like you're going to need one of those bumper stickers I've seen, 'I got this before we knew' or words to that effect!

Oof. Hope you don't drive a Tesla too 😅

Virgin put the fibre optic cable down my road like 4-5 months ago (before Openreach) but I still can't order it for some reason. Everyone on the other side of the road can do, and I keep seeing the vans here installing for people, but it's still not open for me. Bit odd.

Got to respect it.

... it allowed me to order the full gigafast speed (900mb), using the exact same Openreach line as EE. So having left Sky and joined EE for a whole week, I've now ordered through Sky again and it's being switched over in 2 days. Just needed to get that off my chest.

... later, it was finally installed last Thursday. 2 days in, it failed. Openreach came back out and it was fixed yesterday. Called up to upgrade to a faster speed, and they said... I couldn't. Openreach confirmed I could get the full 1.6Gb but EE's system said no. I checked Sky's website and...

Yeah, it's so over the top and self indulgent with Bear unnecessarily jumping out of helicopters, etc. but it somehow adds to it.

Yeah, realistically I think 10th is about as much as we can hope for. 8th would be incredible but we'd probably need to win something like 9/13 games to have a chance.

Yeah, certainly wasn't knocking Tel at all. I was more wondering if 'big chances' was almost a better indicator of who is more likely to win a game than xG. E.g. is a team with 30 small chances equalling 2xG more likely to win than a team with 3 big chances equalling 2xG.

Seems like a flawed metric in the sense that Tel and Maddison both ended up with the same xG, given the ease of Maddison's chance. Can't think of any chances Tel should have scored from really.
comment in response to post
How did we accumulate 2.2xG with only 1 big chance? Is it just lots of small chances all added together, essentially?

I was thinking about this. Kulusevski was a shoo-in 10-12 games ago, but his levels have dropped (no doubt fatigue a huge factor) and Djed has been going from strength to strength. Archie Gray for Young Player of the Year?

Ah no, sorry to hear this. I got them in Christmas 2023 and I crawled into A&E I was in that much pain. Just keep drinking and drinking as much water as possible. I was in for a few days and was on morphine as mine didn't want to shift. The pain can apparently be worse than childbirth!

Optimism for me is clipping that table above to only go as low as 14th, let's not push it 😂

Claiming that coveted Europa Conference League spot?

Tel seems like he's going to be more of a volume of shots guy than a quality of shots guy, based on what we've seen so far. Can't fault his effort though, and he keeps finding himself in positions where he can shoot, even if they're not always great positions.

Yeah, it's not pretty. We don't score enough to be so open at the moment, but a win's a win.

Yeah, I think that's fair (and correct) but some of the stuff I was seeing at halftime was way overblown. I'm desperate for us to hold on and build some momentum but this hasn't been much beyond decent at best today.
