Seems like a delusional little twerp who was too unpopular to be in drama and spent his life chasing the dream of someone else doing his eye makeup to make up for it.

If kids aren't watching TPiR anymore how are they ever going to learn about old people?

I bought it from Ron Shandler when he was auctioning stuff off to clean out his office or something 10-15 years ago. Actually got the first 5 of them as a package, I think.

I don't think you need mlb.tv if you just ant to get the Mets games right? That's like $125? It's gonna cost way more in 5 years too.

Excited to get to watch them play together for years. Obviously Lindor adds extra value in ways Soto can't but the Mets have never had a hitter of Soto's caliber so that's gonna be really fun.

What drives me wild is quoting contracts with deferred money - please just report the current/luxury tax value as that's what is important and allows for apples to apples comparison!

It does seem to matter to players to some degree independent of length. I was surprised Pete took the 2 year deal from Mets but apparently it was to hit the $30M mark for this year.

Would have to have an insane year although I see there are some deferrals to factor in

I remember being a little anxious skipping out for a Mets opening day game one year, and for Phantom Menace opening day another. But overall I was definitely too scared to do much.

I feel like I've heard more about it not being linear than anything else recently.

I think the best gift they could give Pete is having him hit behind Soto - it'll give him the most opportunities to hit good pitches in important spots.
