Like removing all references to slavery, systemic racism, and Black historical figures from the classroom couldn’t possibly be the book burning and history revisionism they’re ostensibly concerned about.

Cal-Maine Foods, one of the largest egg producers in the country, reported an almost doubling of revenue over last year, and a whopping 574% increase in profits, and attributed this increase to avian flu.

Among other things, it shows that the largest egg farmers are consolidating market power; and they are using avian flu as an excuse to flex their market power and make massive windfall profits.

oh, that's a (small) bummer. the way Pillars had the two circles — the "everyone gets hit circle" and then the "only baddies get hit" circle, and only the 2nd one got bigger with intelligence — was a really clever design.

do you have any recommendations on which sort of playstyle the game supports best? (in Pillars i always went for Cipher because it was a fun character to micro — you'd never run out of resources so you could always be doing something important for trying to optimize recharging for the next big move)

I’m really liking it so far. Also, it does have third person as an option, FWIW.
So far it does a pretty good job of capturing the fundamental weirdness of a lot of the setting.

It's different from expectations that I almost got my ass kicked in the tutorial expecting the melee to be as static as an ES game
