People are often shocked to realize that Plains Peoples were less nomadic before the introduction of horses and diseases such as smallpox by Europeans, long before they ever saw a white person. (2/2)

I wasn't familiar with some of these. I appreciate your work. I'll have to read more on torches. It seems that has to be about how they're being used. People often use tiki torches at events to set a mood that isn't fear or intimidation. I don't think that's overwhelmed by violent associations.
