I don’t remember if you have an inhaler but if you do make sure to have it handy bc if it’s the flu that’s been going around that severely fucked with my airway and I needed steroids & an inhaler after

I urge people to take not only their own health into account but those who are elderly, small children, people who might not be seen because they help our every day function because those are the people who are going to suffer first, and mosy quickly— and then everyone shortly after because 5/

If I had not had MaineCare to access the walk-in care to get the steroids & inhaler I needed I would have been critical, probably dead. a vast majority at walk-in were dealing with these same issues from the same flu, people of all ages, 3 of whom I saw rushed to the ER during my five hour wait 4/

I ended up having breathing complications because my body’s reaction was for my airway to become swollen and I was having bronchial spasms (an asthma symptom) on top of that while there was a lot of mucus. I couldn’t sleep normally because I would wake up choking from my airway being restricted 3/

in auditoriums to watch the high schools play ball. this is thousands of people in closed spaces, illness spreads fast and wide because teams from the whole state are there. hospitals see whole teams come in with the flu during this time. this year’s flu has been particularly nasty 2/
