Yeah, you would have thought. They would never do that in their own businesses.

Every Federal employee should refuse to comply and see what happens..

Saying the same thing myself, that’s why we will need the extra $5000 they are talking about sending.

Stomping on the breaks by massive federal layoffs as well as decreased government spending is a recipe for a slowdown. Balancing the budget by cutting 2 trillion dollars is a sure way to collapse the economy quickly. Ergo, screw the deficit, buy off of citizens with supposed savings.

Hassett is smarter than that, he’s just being Trumps mouthpiece. Whether you save it or send it to the people the money will be spent using borrowed funds. Every time you borrow to spend you are loosening the money supply. Maybe they are fearful of the recession they are going to cause?

We are all pawns to Trump. His sociopathic personality is devoid of any empathy for the suffering of others. We should not be surprised by any of this. Shame on all who refuse to see him as he is and shame on his enablers for their own greed who promote his agenda. You will be judged!

Still hoping that Congress wakes up to the reality of what is happening and grows a spine.

Unbelievable, no wonder they have traded the red hats for black ones, villains always wear black hats

Another day, another rewrite of history by this administration, another day of darkness for our once great democracy that was once the shining light of our world that represented freedom

The abolishment of the IRS is just the ruse to suck in bottom 90%. Meanwhile the supposed $300 Billion is for the top 10%. The grift is on. Oh and BTW, those tariffs will be paid by all with the regressive punishment landing on the bottom 90% hardest.

Yes, of course I was. I agree with you totally. Sorry it wasn’t more evident in my post. A bit of humor is the only thing keeping my sanity these days. Kindest regards, good day.👍🏻

We are on our own. No fear though, Trumps a tough guy, he’ll save us just like Rambo.

Yup, people laughed at me when I started calling him “King Donald the Petty”, now maybe they will believe it!

Immigration now or failure of positive economic growth later. Another reminder of the absolute silliness in our anti immigration policies. Cutting our own noses off to spite our faces.

Yes, we want people in government to be as uninformed as possible as to what’s going on beyond their own eco chambers. You do not have to agree with another’s point of view, but understanding that view is essential for good policy decisions.

With tariffs and the corresponding domestic price increases this will only get worse. If you are not wealthy good luck!

Trump will always side with whoever he sees as winning. He works any advantage he perceives. There is no ideology he won’t embrace if it works for his continued power and wealth. He knows exactly what he’s doing. He just doesn’t give a damn.

And yet another example of their reckless stupidity

Apparently being a good liar is the number 2 requirement for being in the Trump administration. Number 1 is loyalty to King Donald the Petty.

I call this the gang that can’t shoot straight. We are the laughing stock of the world. We have a big fat clown running this three ring circus.

Messing in the internal affairs of another sovereign country is always ill advised. It never works out like you think it will. Trump of course believes that only applies to others. That’s because he believes that he is a genius! Not likely.

They don’t even care to hide who they are anymore. We must continue to point it out and never allow it to be seen as okay.

Weaponizing the Justice Department Mr. Trump? I thought you were all against that?

Anyone who tells you with conviction how changes in policy positions are going to affect economic conditions is either full of themselves or kidding themselves. If it was that easy we would never have any monetary mishaps.

And the era of sadness and darkness continues to plague our great democracy. My oath to the Constitution has no expiration date.

Why is it so hard for people to see Trump as the truly morally corrupt person that he is? It boggles my mind every day.
comment in response to post
He is not a man of history so he is doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past. In my lifetime I have seen so many politicians do the same as their predecessors. They always think they are smarter. They are not, only arrogant in their bravado thinking that they can defy the odds.

Because his sociopathic self has no empathy for anyone. Whoever gets in the way they are just collateral damage to him. If pushed he might throw the farmers a few crumbs that we the taxpayers will pay for. “When a person shows you who he is, believe him”

Yup, dueling conservative right wingers among us and our allies. No cooperation and mistrust all around. So how is this going to work? Spoiler alert, it’s not, are enemies will be the only winners as we fight amongst ourselves. Damn, wake up!
