JLR is owned by TATA, the same Indian company that owns British Steel and is closing plants.
So much of Britain is foreign owned. Over 20% of GDP is from US firms. It's 3% in France.
Add NonUS PE, UAE, China, India, Russia etc. and what is left? Vassal state even without control of it's utilities

American wages are mad. I watched something where a waitress was being paid $2.45 an hour as she worked for tips. Minimum wage is like $7.50.
Also they love a bit of modern day slavery. Prisoners and immigration detainees work for between $1-10 a day

It's the British way. We have private companies at every stage in all sectors.
How else can politicians award contracts to their friends/family and extract as much money from the public purse.
Years of planning gone into this system since Thatcher days. Good old British corruption.
