Not to mention that he is a stand up, caring and all around lovely human being.

Too bad he’s choosing this. It’s too bad that he is widely despised yet he kept mysteriously winning elections for decades. Too bad he was so good at lying and cheating his state and america. Hope the end is painful and miserable for him.

This is exactly why I blocked him once I started using this app more. I have no desire to read his out of touch, condescending, know-it-all takes. He’s just another elitist mainstream media hack posting garbage opinions on social media with an air of confidence and knowledge.

His perception reads just like the people who think the definition of racism is outright bigotry and people loudly saying
“I hate such and such race, skin color, ethnicity”
Simply removing DEI can lead to segregation when those so called critics support segregation or not. It’s systemic!!

Someone screaming at people to debate them reeks of
“pay attention to me, look at me”
We live in an age where anyone can sound off on the internet. Debate me bros are just trying to expand their brand.

Exactly! Why have we set the bar so low? Just because the current administration is in shambles doesn’t mean we have to give empty praise to a statement of
“I gave them a call”
comment in response to

That’s your definition of true leadership? Because he stated that he was in touch with them? That’s a very low bar. True leadership is an immediate investigation and demanding transparency.

That weird wishy washy, it’s a great “option” but other countries just don’t agree. It gets me when journalists do this without providing information and analysis. Maybe list the countries and provide info as to why they may be hesitant to vaccinate? I obviously listen to too much Michael Hobbes.

As an aside - constitutional crisis highlights the weaknesses and numerous faults of said constitution. A dead, stagnant system that has not been amended or updated in years is going to be an easy target for exploitation and gutting by grifters. I know this isn’t popular sentiment. Your thoughts?

I think virtue signaling is a term used by people who cannot believe thag other people have values, morals and compassion for others. They cannot fathom that someone would be vocal about things without wanting something in return because things they do for others are performative & transactional.

This is very cool and he’s great but why is this not federally protected? This country was built on the blood, sweat, and tears of black people. They are the backbone of its history, present, and future. They are the group of Americans with the most tragic origin story that all should know.

First America downloaded a very old program as a short term solution. The software developer had no intent of updating, insisted that we keep the old falling apart program. The developer finally admitted it was very buggy. They rushed out a new version with basically the same bugs. Porn ad - click!

I don’t know even know that book but I can’t stand that trope. I call it the Three’s Company plot device.

I do not at all question him because it’s his nature. I do question why his antics merit the attention of mainstream news outlets.
I wouldn’t know him if not for news outlets or people boosting his content to show they’re appalled. As far as I am concerned the only famous Matt Walsh is the actor.

Performative nonsense. It’s not helping anything or preventing the orange menace from making this country even worse than it already is.

My wife feels this way. I am thinking of what I can do to make the world better by volunteering, getting involved in my community. I’m terrified too but I want to put my focus into what I can do to help.
A lot that we can’t control is coming. But we can gain some control by doing good things.

I know you do a different thing here, but wanted to say it won’t be the same without hearing your voice and cadence. I’m just a middle aged guy who learned that it wasn’t a dancing app for kids. You were among the many interesting and lovely people I got to know. I’ll miss your content and stories.

I hear you. I’m an American by naturalization who is very well aware of the narrow view of the world that Americans have. It’s by design. The majority of the population is kept ignorant and the educated group is given a lot of propaganda. It’s depressing.

Trump is out of touch but he knows how to talk to the cult susceptible and those who are being miseducated and lacking and education because of our bad system.
The Democrats as a party (not the base) are incredibly out of touch and much more about the status quo than anything.

I see what you’re saying. I do find it troubling that society can’t function in some places if the 2 sites owned by a very problematic person go down. That seems like a very bad system.

Critiques are subjective. Late in life, Ebert said something to the effect his opinion was likely to change on a second viewing. I use reviews from critics that line up with my tastes to gauge if I should watch something. Sometimes negative reactions by certain critics tell me it’s worth my time.

Israel and the US’s propaganda machine has been building that idea for years. They have most people believing that Israel has the only moral army in the world. People are just now seeing through it because we can see the destruction and ruthlessness online.
