Me too. I recall thinking that I could panic, fall apart, or do something practical & useful—and freak out later.
Hubs is a clinical psych, so there were discussions re: how

I have a 23-year-old top loader that has a very good delicate cycle. Maybe I’ll put it in a garment bag and wash it from now on and wear it until it falls off my back!
