My recs are all series, so hope you have more credits coming, but: Iron Druid series by Kevin Hearne, Villains Rule by MK Gibson, and Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. All great series (Fantasy with a lot of humor) with unbelievable narration. Also that reminds me I have a credit to spend too!

My series might be a good fit for you! Short books (novella length) but 5 so far and counting--each "episode" has its own, complete, story arc but they also build to a "season" arc. Urban Fantasy with a group rather than a single main character. www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZJW77WB

I saw him on a podcast talking about building schools to force-educate Christian doctrine.

I shared this opinion back when I ate red meat. When all you eat is the chicken and/or fish, though, McDonald's is much better. I do still love the croissant breakfast sandwiches, though.

WTF, Guardian? Complain of normalizing, of unequal treatment, whatever--but use of the word "humanizing" here suggests that people are undeserving of being treated with human dignity before they're even *convicted* of a crime.

I saw that happen at the last company I worked for, but I was already in-office then.

Our company's philosophy kept changing based on who was in charge, but during the pandemic they realized they could save money by dropping some of the office rentals. We had hybrid before, and it kinda sucked, b/c management thought a WAH day was the same as a day off πŸ™„

So glad I don't have that anymore! My job is pretty awful, but the WAH makes the rest bearable most of the year!

lol one of the better benefits of working from home lol!

Very nice! I'm past the excessively-busy period at work and soon we'll be in the slow-and-boring period, when I can keep my personal laptop on my work desk and sneak some words in throughout the day. πŸ˜‰

Rock on! I will never know how you can be so productive on work breaks lol! You're my hero! (Villain? Hmm...)

I love my series/sequels. Can't help it. And I have officially made wc goal for the morning--plus got myself to a nice scene-end cliffhanger in time to make breakfast before day-jobbing, too! 😁

Had a person in my (fiction) writers' group many years ago who had a general disdain for fiction. His own writing was very, very bad.

Nice! I remember you mentioning that--the one sequel/series you couldn't thwart! I'm at the kicky/stabby part of this one right now--not my favorite parts to write, but I've been anticipating this moment for a good long while, so there's some satisfaction in it!

Yeah?

The usual Urban Fantasy fare, unexpected vampire transformation at the moment.

lol that would be QUITE the mashing of styles, to be sure!

I definitely do NOT want to swap. And let's BOTH get famous so we can be done with the day jobs!

4:45. Shudder. Fuck I'm glad I don't work in the office anymore.

Hi, Anya! I know I'm in a bi authors list or two, but doesn't look like I'm in here yet. Would you add me? 😊

They will smile, proud at how well they're following "the rules" and how "nice" they're being while handing the country over the fascists, because "playing nice" is more important to them than actually protecting the Constitution.

This would never happen. "They" did their insurrection on Jan 6th, and the Dems have been crying "we would NEVER!" ever since. They will hold the door and welcome him in to prove THEY would never try to prevent the outcome of an election.

Wow... never thought about Myrtle in the bathroom/gender context before--I always just filed her under Rowling's fatphobia, honestly. But yeah...

If I were rating it, it'd be a 4-star, actually, but that missing star is entirely my own failings lol
