I used to wonder why more people didn't just emigrate from 1930s Germany as soon as they saw how the wind was blowing. I understand now. Even if it's easy for me, my family, friends, and neighbors can't all up and leave. Staying is an opportunity to love and serve, even when it's getting dark.
