I didn't. It only changed the handle & automatically updated it for me within their follower list.

Worth considering as you are just 4 weeks in. I DM'd @richard.medsky.social to ask for his link😊 I adore Bluesky compared to Twitter since a certain person took it over. I wanted to leave twitter entirely. Trying to entice more good folks over before do so. Less engagement still on Bluesky at mo.

@cellcartoons.bsky.social has a whole team of immune system superheroes. Very nicely supports learning. I seem to recall that they were around when I 1st started to teach immunity at A-level. Superb. Immunity as a topic is great to teach isn't it.

Measles: emphasised++++ with our 3rd years when I covered contagious illnesses on Paediatric Patho series. As @alderhey.nhs.uk #Paediatric consultant at Dec 2024 CPD day for GP & 🚑 had 👍session on measles. The complications can be truely devastating, e.g. SSPE or immunocompromise for up to 3 yrs😲

So #Paramedic student attends a ?CVA patient prioritise minimising time to ➡️🏥🧠intervention by: ✔️1st recognise they need to consider CVA in Ddx ✔️Rule out CVA mimics, eg check hypoxia & hypoglycaemia ✔️From presentation is it Ant or Post ✔️Know if pre-alert etc RE time since last seen well, anticoag etc

Really nice summary👍layout. I will look to develop a slightly simplified one for Paramedic students, as at yr2 level I need them to focus on anterior VS posterior CVA Some 🇬🇧🚑 trusts will only allow use CVA specialist pathway for anterior. My 🚑 trust we can now activate via escalation for ?posterior

Attended ?locked in syndrome patient I had at least 3 Ddx incl this. Unfortunately, I'd limited info from that encounter It can be frustrating as Para that its hit or miss as to closing loop for learning from case. Paramedic Postbox works well in🏥where Nurse/Dr have time @drlindadykes.bsky.social

Wow.🤓That's amazing. Thankyou. I only recently started on Bluesky & then Medsky. Used Twitter. However, must admit I haven't done any longer threads yet. I'll enjoy looking over these now. Our academic year starts 2nd week Sept, so completed bulk of teaching for A&P exam & almost done for Patho

Fab timing for #cardiology, both adult & paeds I've had fun times developing a 1st pass, from scratch, #Paediatric #Pathophysiology series for 3rd yrs this year. As ID'd what additional topics would benefit a #Para most The toxic exposure (poisoning) topic was a highlight based on student interest

Interprofessional learning would be a great idea. Thankyou. I'm so glad I found you. 👋Hi from 🌤 NW England.

👍Great. As I'm module lead on: ✔️1st yr A&P module ✔️2nd yr Pathophysiology & Pharmacology 🤓I'm interested in any topic As I teach all but ECG & most specialist Pharmacology sessions, plus adore new #educator ideas & evolving each yr teaching session on diverse topics #Paramedics need as generalists

Gremlin #Kitten is now in full sleep mode. 😊So cute. 💤So more sleep for me, to top up a short post-late shift sleep of 4hrs.🚑 #CatsofBluesky #Paramedic family #kitten

This really does sum us 🇬🇧 Brits up. Consider adding: 4. Obsessed with talking about the weather.🌧❄️🌤☔️ 5. The endless controversy of #jam or #cream 1st on scones. Its jam 1st BTW. Cream 1st = you're a wrongun.😆

I'm guessing the #toxidrome would be tough to pinpoint, i.e. multiple substances in the system.

I've come to this conclusion too I'm so sorry. Was in 🇺🇲 5 glorious years up to 2009. Does it feel like as much #chaotic & dangerous place as it 👀appears from the outside? I'm 🚑 Paramedic now & would have prob been so in Colarado if stayed. Myst feel vulnerable++++ for those with chronic conditions

Its normally a very coordinated dismount. Maybe I'm a harsh marker. Perhaps she's heard of a certain niche downhill cheese race in England & wants to perfect her technique.😂🤣
