In your opinion, can we still trust this data?

Ugh. I noticed Noem starting to reference "military aged males" recently as well and then learned of ICE detaining teenage boys in LA. I'm assuming this "military aged males" thing is a way to gloss over the fact that ICE is deliberately targeting children. Can't wait for the matching tweets.

Uncalled for...
Rushed...
Potentially dangerous...
You're getting warmer.
He hasn't invoked the Insurrection Act or declared Martial Law so... why isn't "illegal" included in your list of lukewarm words?

I like it. Concise. To the point. Not overused, like the frumpy “a perfect storm” saying. 😁
I also like “the Jackpot” concept from The Peripheral. Multicausal. No particular beginning or end. More a climate than an event. Everything tangled. It made my brain go “oh crud.” 🫠

Yup. Umbrella man all over again.

Sounds like LA has their own “umbrella man.”

This may not be a "workable" solution, as it would require rapid coordination of a mass communication strategy, and it feels like we are beyond that point. But people need to know what's coming and what it means to them, and we can't let Fox News define it because we're afraid to talk about it.

Every voice talks about martial law. Every platform is utilized, because these spaces may be inaccessible after the declaration. Seize and frame the topic now, before it is rendered unrecognizable by propaganda. Americans can stop martial law, but they won't if they don't understand the urgency.

We deliberately and strategically educate people about martial law in every media ecosphere. I would wager not many Americans understand what could happen if martial law were declared. South Koreans showed up in force in 2024 because they conceptually knew martial law = bad. Do Americans know this?

There are 12.8M people in greater L.A. I assume at least 5 cars burn per day in the normal course of business. 🙄

I don’t do Meta anymore either so I’ll miss out too.
But wonderful Seth, and thank you for doing this, and if you happen to post it other places please let us know. ✌🏼

“Dangerously provocative?” Dude. We aren’t discussing a racy book.
He hasn’t invoked the Insurrection Act or declared martial law, so ordering Marines to engage with American citizens on American soil is UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Words matter.
(Please, if I am wrong on that, I welcome a correction.)

I used to work for a high growth company that hosted & serviced data rooms that supported M&A transactions. I knew something was up when I saw only two open sales rep positions posted on their website (typically they have 10-30 sales openings around the globe). Everyone is hunkering down.

Yep. Trump is willing to put every military family's loved ones' lives at risk just so he has a yes-man willing to commit the horrors whenever he gets the urge.

Right, agree. Uncoupling this from autism for a moment, many will never unsee the multiple Nazi salutes and allow him go back to the watered-down version of himself. That’s not a majority of people though, I fear.

I see the point you’re making but I think that may work against Trump too.
Zero charisma and deep insecurity are relatable traits, putting Musk in a position that Trump has always tried to claim when in a fight - appearing to be the underdog.

Musk’s position is weak? The guy who has backdoor access to the Treasury? The guy who could probably halt the Secret Service’s payroll or revoke DOE employee access if he has a bad day? Yeah, weak. Sure Jan. 😆
