Imagine going through the Crucible to stand around on a street corner in downtown LA to arrest a guy in a Hawaiian shirt and shorts whose crime is saying “can we maybe calm all this down” on the orders of an adjudicated rapist. Real warrior stuff.

I live in Montreal and I’m learning French the traditional way: having bartenders do my doulingo lessons for me (if you can’t win, cheat). My favorite part is when they shout “that’s not French!” at my phone.
