I believe it. I was also working retail at the same time and in a very very very red town/city and apparently our store was the only business in town mandating masks and daily we got harassed/threatened/yelled at by these people. They made it point to come harass us for the company policy.

I so hated the nursing home I used to work at during the height of the pandemic. Nurses and the aids would constantly say how this was all fake and the sort and how bad vaccines are as the people who rely on them were dying. I left because I couldn’t handle it.

Luckily I’m just an experienced maintenance worker so if the NPS does get cut I know I can still find a job. I’d prefer not to lose my position with the NPS. It’s been a great experience and career working at different parks and finally getting a permanent position in 2023. Here’s to hoping.
