Like a lot of folks, I was furious when Sen.Schumer went back on opposing the Republic budget bill. Then I heard him explain. The content of, and actions, arising from a bill can be faught in court. The actions arising from a gov't shutdown exist SOLEY at the discretion of the exec branch.

Democrat senators: what is the difference between a gov’t shutdown & not voting to fund a party dismantling the gov’t? None. Stop worrying about rules & assumptions that no longer exist. Chump & Co are practicing war by other means. Stop bringing water balloons to a knife fight.

@aoc.bsky.social How to handle State of the Union. Demcrats should come dressed as usual. When Chump begins speaking, all of you stand, in unison and say, in unison "No Kings." Repeat it. Over and over. Just as important, in a normal speaking voice. No chanting. No yelling. For the entire speech.
