Hahaha, I am so done with Adobe. My monthly plan goes to $70 starting next month. I have until mid-July to decide if my alternatives are viable. I have Adobe through my day job now, so moving my personal stuff shouldn’t be too big. The only reason I kept it so long was I was using it for work.

My favourite Brian Wilson story was when Bono kneeled at his feet backstage & waxed lyrical about his influence, the power of music, transcendent, etc. After several minutes of this he interrupted Bono by saying “Say, could you go get me a Coke?” (In fairness, he apparently did)

The Beach Boys were considered a joke when I was growing up. Now I respect the hell out of Brian Wilson thanks to @andrewhickey.500songs.com's "A History of Rock Music in 500 Songs." I am very glad he is at peace. Thank you, Brian, for everything.

Just to be clear: I reclaimed my rights back when Unbound missed the first payment, over a year ago. Unbound owe me a lot of money, but I am finalizing my direct contract with my US publisher, and current royalties WILL be paid to me. I didn't ask anyone to stop buying my books. Don't spread this.

I had a great MCAF except for one thing: someone put a tracker on my car on the final day of the festival to mark it for future theft. I was texting with my husband after the con when I got an alert from Apple that an unregistered device was found moving with me. I pulled it up and spotted this. 🧵

Yup, 1000% accurate. Our table was in front of a shop that sold fresh brownies along with the hot chocolate. There was also a crane game/arcade place I ducked into. The folks inside had carts piled high with prizes they won and feral looks in their eyes if you glanced their way. I fled quickly.
