Oh my god, they made their own title card!!!

I'm proud that I was able to clock this as Chicago before I saw the Sears Tower. Like I passed some kind of Chi-Test.

My latest piece at @thenation.com takes issue with the conventional wisdom that the Dems don't know how to fight Musk's GOP brownshirts effectively. They know how. We know this because they've been waging that kind of ruthless fight against the left for 25 years. www.thenation.com/article/poli...

I submitted this to the New Yorker and it didn't get accepted?????

True story: a few years ago, I was being interviewed by a reporter for the New York Times. I mentioned the history of eviction statutes and how they tied into Jim Crow. The reporter asked "what's Jim Crow?" When I explained, the reporter didn't believe me and said the US wouldn't do that.

I need to get my infant nephew into Star Trek - which episodes should I put on first

"[Issue x] is a distraction!" is a corrosive outlook. All outrages are important to fight. Nobody can fight them all, but together we can cover them all. You telling somebody who is fighting an issue that you aren't fighting that what they're doing is a distraction is a distraction. Stop.

Every time a new Phil story starts I will remind the world that it is one of the funniest comics in existence and is essentially the reason I started making comics.

Shout out to Toni Newman on On Cinema, one of the greatest to ever do it

it's never too late to start masking up in public again! in addition to being an important way to be in solidarity, it will also drastically reduce the sickness you experience regularly. (I for one am pretty excited about not having the flu for 5 solid years!)

Can't stress enough that of all the creative stuff I've ever done (theater, sketch, improv, songwriting, filmmaking, etc) the hardest and most consistently frustrating is making comics

i'll take it
