Why didn’t he know this beforehand? Did no one inform him of obvious consequences, or did he just not care?

I will just add, as someone who works in the toy industry, my cynical take: Most toy industry types are like Democratic politicians in that they react rather than create. You may be giving them too much credit.

It's being reported that she was at Capital Burger: www.msn.com/en-us/news/p...

LOL! I mean, I would call Minecraft a toy company. Capybaras are starting to overtake the axolotls.

Axolotls were first made popular by Minecraft.

The Guardian is now reporting that they expect Russia to play a central role in negotiations with Iran, which will surely ease the situation.

"Breakfast in Bed" is so damn sexy, though.

My dog is the passive barkee unless she's at home watching other dogs, in which case she is the aggressive barker. It's a turf thing. There's probably a lesson there, too, if not a flattering one.

Sorry, I won't be giving her any until Narvik catches up!

I hear that Walgreens treats their employees like dirt, and yet most will go above and beyond, IME.

When I read a paper in print, I notice how much I usually self-select my online reading based on headlines, which is a terrible habit!

You'll take what exactly? More lies?

I heard Art Pope on BBC 4 World News last night saying the tariffs have made him wish he could take back his vote for Trump. Tillis is doing donor bidding, and nothing will come of it. Like most of what Tillis does, it's performative.

It's a great photo, but from now on I'll be liking Narvik photos only. Poor guy deserves to catch up.

I don't live in HI anymore, but when I did I knew some kick ass senior citizens. It's one of the healthiest states in the country, and there are some people who age fantastically well.

That assumes that the liberals writing these nasty comments are or want to be part of a working class movement. Many of these types are comfortably middle class looking down at the poors and wondering why the poor don't support their cause.

I haven't heard Candi's version of "Jolene", but, damn, her version of "Stand by Your Man" is a balm for the soul.

Okay, you have to admit that is stunning.

People say that because the science on brain development supports it. We used to have 8 year old child laborers, too, but that doesn't mean they were developmentally mature. It meant they had no other choices.

In the South, there is a popular liberal slogan "y'all means all". Y'all is inclusive and flows better than any of the alternatives.

It most certainly is a carb. It's a complex carb.

When I was a kid in the '70's, nutritionists advised us to eat whole grains. Whole grains are carbs, but they're not simple carbs. That's a world of difference.

Colu Henry's NYT Cooking recipe for white beans with miso, radishes, and greens is mind-blowing and takes ten minutes to get you fiber, protein, and a whole slew of vitamins.

I'm an American, and I boycott Starbucks at every opportunity. The other day I got lost trying to find coffee and ended up at Starbucks and paid 8 USD for a shitty cappuccino. Life is too short for coffee that mediocre.

I don't know who the hell you are, but you're a must follow based on that look alone.

I don't think it's the pleats so much as the overall cut. But I dunno. I'm OCD about lady fashion but menswear is not my expertise. The jacket is killer, though, and anyone would look good in it.

Narvik is a true Southerner. My mother is the same way.

What? She explicitly says she's a Democrat. We need a majority of voters if we want to win again. Dems won't win by expecting voters to be saints.

Sure, he meant specifically Dearborn, which, as a city of under 100,000 holds the key to every election. He's doing the same thing the right does when they fixate on Chicago.

Because it's flat out racist to call out a small amount of Muslims while ignoring the culpability of the majority of white Americans. Why do you and other folks have a need to attack Muslims? Is it out of sense of justice or just good old fashioned hate?
