The public also now thinks all AI is generative AI. Heck, I understand the tech and work in tech and my instinctive reaction right now to talk of AI is revulsion even though I know there are actually plenty of good use cases. Too much marketing hype & straight up evil going on in the space.

No one really “owns” a domain but that’s a different post, however a website just for you is way harder for someone to just “take down” because they don’t like your content or the company closes.

I just read The Future by Naomi Alderman and while the first part of the book does skate a little too close to home, the future she paints seems possible.

I agree, I’d rather one world power not “win” a century and we have a more human-focused solution going forward. That being said, I might start learning a little Mandarin just in case.
