I just watched this fox nom something from a grass tuft in our field (probably a small rodent). Of course, my phone was out of reach whole the meal was taking place.

Had a fruit fly drown in my orange juice this morning. I fished out the corpse and put it on a napkin. Two minutes later, the little effer got back up and flew away. If I’m going to have the power to resurrect something - why fruit flies? We keep trying to get rid of them!

Russia and China, have ramped up recruitment efforts targeting US federal employees—particularly those recently fired or at risk of termination. These efforts are unfolding aggressively on LinkedIn, where adversaries are reaching out under the guise of job opportunities, networking, and consulting.

Happy first day of meteorological (northern hemisphere) Spring! You wouldn’t know it, here.

Tomorrow, February 28, let’s disrupt the status quo by spending ONLY at businesses that uplift our communities. That means: 🚫 No gas from corporate giants 🚫 No fast food chains 🚫 No big-box retailers (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc.)

An interesting thing this fanfic project combined with reflecting on original WIP has done is really highlight my writing process. 1) I am incapable of a rough draft. Every scene I write/revise gets read and worked on at least twice a pass 2) I need to write more than once a week for good progress

Call to Action: The Merit Systems Protection Board, an independent federal agency that safeguards federal employees in employment disputes, has paused the terminations of six probationary federal workers across various executive branch agencies and departments for 45 days.

The reason why I have a WIP that is nearly 10 years old is because during the last decade I’ve really thought hard and learned about what makes good craft, so maybe 7 years are from *multiple* revisions. Pretty sure most people would have just trunked things by now and moved on, but I'm stubborn.

I have original fiction that has been in progress in its current form for nearly 10 *years* now (and has been in revision hell for several). And yet somehow I have managed to write 75k words of fan fiction since October. On one hand - yay writing! On the other - why can’t this be novel progress??

Sometimes you just gotta start the day with a bowl of cocoa bunnies (with almonds on top, in my case)

My parents have a uncanny ability to call while (or just before) I am eating, using the bathroom, or writing.

The Supreme Court, in its first ruling on President Trump’s use of executive power during his second term, decided that he cannot, for now, dismiss the government lawyer leading the watchdog agency responsible for protecting whistle-blowers.

[MINOR HADES 2 SPOILER] C: I finally unlocked the Black Coat! (equips it) Me: …is that a *Mech Suit*?!? C: Well, they did give Zagreus a rail gun.

People fuck up, but Wild Coast Raw is literally killing cats and declining to take ANY responsibility for it. My COMPLETELY INDOOR cats ate batch 22660. They are still acting like the bird flu results were fake. My stud who does not eat raw was negative. This WILL kill cats. This is evil.

I’m currently working on a website control where user can specify a timeframe for data displayed. It took all my willpower not to name the css style class “tardis”

My congresswoman @robinkelly.house.gov is doing a telephone town hall meeting right now, and it just went up from 8,000 people listening to 11,000 people listening in the space of a single Q&A (2% of the district's population!). People ARE active & paying attention. Don't fear you're alone.

Some federal employees who accepted Trump’s buyout offer are now being notified that their buyout has been denied, and they are being terminated instead.

It breaks my heart to share these, but I have to. My cats who caught bird flu did NOT have any sneezing, no nasal discharge, or symptoms I'd associate with the flu. Gandalf had a fever, loss of appetite, and then this weakness of hind limbs, which progressed rapidly. This is a neuro symptom.

Spreading word about Bird Flu infection from contaminated food.

There are some wild icicles on my house right now.
