I've failed so much this year... hoping 2025 is better! I kept trying to force myself to animate and in the end I hated what I was working on, so for 2025 I'm doing a different strategy. Focusing back on storytime stuff. The music vid stuff is too much for me.

If you can. Choose differently. (Not a possibility for everyone) - Use Linux instead of Windows/MacOS. - Stop using Alphabet/Google, Meta, Microsoft etc. platforms as much as you possibly can. - Build on OpenSource platforms. - Learn how to self-host instead of using cloud. Prepare yourself.

A fact I was just pondering the oddness of: we’ve had the technology to produce (most kinds of) board games & ttrpgs for centures, but the former were all sort of crap, excepting like chess & go, until the past 3 decades, and ttrpgs just… didn’t exist at all until the 70s.

If I can give one set advice to young artists, it’s that you don’t have to worry about art style! Keep doing what you do! Your interests, skills, lack of skills, things you don’t like and avoid drawing, snd your lineweight will create your art style over time. Your art style will find you!
