My favourites are Blade Runner. Beneath a Steel Sky, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Monkey Island 1 & 2 in and Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars. Basically anything by LucasArts or Revolution Software.

Came to say this.

ST, Amiga, SNES and Playstation. PC was mostly at school and friend's houses until I finally bought my own in early 2000. My first full play through of Doom was the PlayStation port.

Excellent! Everything was moving from Quantel and Avid to Mac and After Effects when I started working in TV, but the Video Toaster was still the coolest brand.

Nice find. Get yourself a Video Toaster for your Amiga to edit the video for the full 90's vibe.

The Amiga was the better machine at the time, but to this day I still have a lot of love for the Atari ST. And some of the games and demos coming out now show what the STe was capable of.

Actually Point Blank may be my favourite light gun game. I just never picked it up for a home machine.

Nice. Will give it a go!

Duck Hunt even. :)

100% Die Hard. Also the only light gun game I had for the Playstation! Duck was also great, but a slightly different vibe.

I originally played on my SNES using an old portable Black and White CRT my Nan gave me. It was great, super blurry and needed to be returned most days. I can assure you, any modern screen is better.

I now think this is a great machine, but that keyboard does look hard work. When I was a kid I looked down at the 400 as I had an XE and I was a sucker for the ST aesthetics.

Looking forward to this one. Deus Ex was groundbreaking. Shockingly, I've never played System Shock.

I'd rather use a machine that looks this cool than Excel.

Aside from hacking cash machines, what did these actually do?

Coffee. Send emergency coffee.

Enjoying the weather here today?

I know, sad times. Granted, I haven't been there in over 20 years.

Maybe a walk to Thunderbooks or HMV after a brew. Miss those days!

They looked good even when switched off. My MacBook Pro is a great machine, and can be hidden away easily, but I miss computers I want to show off!

It's still a design icon. They don't make 'em like that anymore.

It's not the classic set-up, but it works well! 😄 Gutted I threw out all my old CRT's 15 years ago! Not that I have room for them in this office.

Boulder Dash, Montezuma's Revenge, Frogger, Missile Command, Centipede, there are so many.

Oh no!

Happy New Year, keep up the good work in 2025!

The reviews are great. I've followed your development of the games for ages now, but not had the time to play. It's going to be the first of 2025!

Up there with other great games. Now I really need to play through The Crimson Diamond.

I have that tune stuck in my head now! Great looking machine.

"You! Any idea what day the bins go out?"

Also a 45 year old adult, chuffed with Santa's present.
comment in response to post
The question is, which Christmas movie are you going to watch!
comment in response to post
Santa delivered an Atari ST Discovery Pack. The Amiga was a better machine but my first love was the ST.

We need to bring back page design like this.

I've started answering that question honestly. It's really interesting to see how people follow up.

No 8-bit this year. Last year was a Spectrum Next. I know, I know. Not strictly 8-bit. This year it's a 'new' Atari ST.

Once you have a few billion it's a fair argument that any decent person would then invest in good causes. Ideally in making long term positive impact.

Matching theme.

I've just found the Zaxxon game on eBay. That does look very cool. Not the first game I'd expect to have a board game version!
comment in response to post
Moral quandary. At what point have you earned enough money to start giving most of it away? If you give it away early, you'll never have billions in the first place. Would that rule apply to everyone, even those investing in positive impactful work?

I didn't know this existed. It looks like great fun. I wonder what other console board game conversions there are?
