Do you feel like our forward players don’t take enough responsibility for shooting outside the area?
And I feel like when we do - they tend to go for the low odds / perfect top corner finish, rather than playing the odds and hitting it hard and on target and hoping for a rebound/deflection.

The atmosphere inside the stadium (the first 3pm Saturday kick off in ages as well) was shocking for the game.
Did you feel that as a fan base we’d already given up on the title before the game even happened?
(Personally I think I have for sure since the Havertz injury)

Darron Gibson instead of Carsley?

Ha yeah it shows it really is a box ticking exercise more than an emotional decision.
I wonder if the press outside of the UK give it more respect than here as here it tends to be seen as a bit silly (rare time I agree with our press).

Ironic from a group of fans who celebrated a sports washing blood stained nation state taking over their club and financially doping it whilst circumventing rules.

In a world of obscene decisions from those above, I actually reckon this is the most ridiculous.
Wouldn’t you need to ban ALL celebrations as they all contain an element of ‘im happy & you’re not’?
Isn’t this kind of thing what makes football fun?
Why is it important now?
So many questions.

That’s genuinely funny how much it hits the nail on the head

Arsenal players should try breaking a leg or two, then the authorities might take that seriously, too.

I’d say I don’t believe in £130m for anyone.

I find his situation quite interesting. Not very often Brighton can’t find game time for one of their players - is this just a natural consequence of them improving as a club or a bad reflection on the player?

The social media / mental health card has been used by every PR manager in the last 5 years for every ‘man being an asshole’ PR controversy which basically sums it up.
Deflecting to wider societal issues to get away with the fucking stupidity and moral corruption you just did.
I’m sick of it.

That’s not really my point. It’s that every significant error they make, their instant reaction is - how do we get away with this and protect our own?
When the question they should be asking is - how the hell did this happen again and how do we improve?

So I agree - but it feels a lot like a deflection tactic.
They get this abuse after every game which is clearly wrong and a contributing factor to overall refereeing standards as nobody wants to do it because it’s thankless but this is an obvious PR tactic for an organisation under pressure.

What power do clubs have when it comes to the PGMOL? Did they have any input with Webb’s hiring? Is there a scope for a call of no confidence?
I’m intrigued as to how the 20 shareholders of the premier league could possibly have no power when it comes to the officials?

Do you think there’s any value to the club going public with their unhappiness of the performance with referees?
Do you think Forest’s statement last year for example helped them in anyway by causing referees to think extra hard with their games or does it put a target on your back?

Can you remember a worse season of referee decisions going against us? I’m struggling to remember a season feeling so affected and disassociated to the actual football as it feels inconsequential to the whims of a group of arrogant, chummy wankers #arsecastextra

Let’s not beat around the bush -why do you think we’re getting as many bias referees decisions against us? Has Arteta created a dislike against us? Our fans? Historical bias counting against us?
I can only see institutional bias against us at this stage so I’m more interested in why #arsecastextra

I reckon it’s a culture thing. Making an example of somebody + PSR bonus because he’s actually worth something

Footballers in songs is up there with my favourite and I would greatly appreciate a playlist for them.

Ha I reckon Inaki Cana would get a 4th and 5th if he could.
I reckon 6/7 signings including those 2 wouldn’t be crazy though. We’ve got a good amount of churn coming again this summer I think.

Even after likely needing a second and third choice keeper? I’d guess Hein will likely leave for first team football for example.
Then the whole loan squad I reckon will be up for sale l, and maybe Kiwor and Zinny also wanting to leave?
comment in response to

To be fair I don’t think it’ll be far off that with outgoings considered.
How many of those 7 need to be superstars is a different question I guess.

This! I think the issue is a lack of people taking responsibility which is what really pisses me off. Martinelli had a clear chance to shoot in the box and ran to the byline… you run to byline to get a chance to shoot. Not the other way around! Odegaard really guilty of this as well

6 games in a month I think played a part. We’re basically living at the stadium due to the weird/shitty fixture list this year (we had a similar sequence in October I think?).
It feels a lot when you’re back at work for the first week of the year.

The thing about Isak that still very much worries me is the injuries. It’s not like we’re short of injury prone players and if we spent £70m on a guy who had missed that amount of games the clubs would be getting pelters still.

The betrayal reveal was fantastic as well! The only thing it doesn’t have over the first is Alan Rickman and less Reginald VelJohnson

More from watching games with my dad but he’ll still groan whenever Arsenal get a corner and say ‘we never score from these’ even though the stats show we basically always score from them

Bikes were always our preference - allowed for actual ‘in off the posts’… sometimes. Also quite dangerous for the keepers. I’ve 180’d on this.

I think you tend to see a yellow for that to be honest. More for dissent than time wasting but I get your point that it isn’t consistent.
But once he was on the yellow - I thought throwing the ball at the Fulham player (even lightly) was pretty stupid and risky.

What did you think of Martinelli’s petulance when he came on? Yellow for throwing the ball away and could easily have got a second for throwing another at a Fulham player. Feels like he’s not got the maturity Saka has #arsecastextra

Not sure we’ll know until the game itself - them missing Konate and Allison and having drawn the last game isn’t ideal for them but perhaps Everton are in full Dyche-ball mode and Liverpool have more injuries in the changed fixture

Even the tech was shite at the end. I use to get Temu ads all the way down my timeline overlapping other tweets and the scroll being janky, as well as forcing me to click on ads.

Sometimes when I’m at an Arsenal game and my phone goes off I get the dread that somebody is abusing me because we’ve conceded and it hasn’t happened yet for me because on Sky Go there’s a delay.
When I’m *at* the stadium.
