It should be called "The Tom Cruise Award for Best Stunts in a Motion Picture."

Windows only? Boo! The original game is on Mac as well.
Oh well, keeping myself busy today with The Talos Principle: Reawakened and Blue Prince.

I just read Kim Stanley Robinson's excellent 2015 novel "Aurora" and he mentions this exact thing (perchlorates) as a reason why a Mars settlement, while not impossible in the long term, is extremely challenging.

Fun fact: The Mister Chief AI has a line in which he says "and that's how hummus is made" when using the gravity hammer in Halo Infinite multiplayer.

0-for-19 with 15 strikeouts to start a season. Absolutely brutal.

It wasn't because his buddy Miles Mikolas had been telling everyone how great lizards taste and he thought that Lizard Skin bat tape was made from real lizard skin?

My wife threw a "first pitch" to me at our wedding that was on a baseball field (in lieu of a unity candle). Also a strike! โบ๏ธ

Dredd is fantastic. Would love to get a sequel. Equilibrium's pretty good, too.

Charging $70 for an annual sports game with minimal changes is asinine. I'm renting it from my local library for free. Maybe if they finally update the graphics next year, I'd be willing to pay $70 for it.

Welp, sorry Nick Anderson. Almost certain to be on the cutting block after today's performance.
comment in response to

Is Anderson working with a significantly diminished arsenal from what he debuted with? I know he had UCL surgery in 2021 but donโt know how his stuff has evolved.

Gotcha, thanks. Would you consider adding it as an optional feature? Maybe just when the timeline is pinned to the top so you donโt worry about losing your place? I keep my timeline pinned to the top so I can see new posts roll in as theyโre made. I assume this is a common use case but maybe not.

Better late than never. Maton phils the Kittredge-sized hole in the bullpen nicely.

Or after just six months with their new "basic" fare (which is just a rebranded "Wanna Get Away").

Yeah, I saw a quote about multiple Academy voters who didn't even watch Dune: Part II because they thought the first one was too long. What a shameful abuse of their voting privileges. It was probably the same guy who didn't voter for Ichiro...

Academy voters presumably had access to I'm Still Here screeners, right? I mean... even I did (with some internet help).
Personally, I wish movies and performances would be judged based on their own merits and not by the need to make a statement (Emilia Perez) or be given their due (Demi Moore).

He also said "Matt Carpenter is our third baseman" the day before they traded for Arenado, so don't think he's going to stop trying to trade him.

So they received a list of 5 acceptable destinations, worked out a deal with a team not on the list (HOU), and were shocked when he declined?

2021: Carlson, O'Neill, and Bader combined for 13 WAR. Who would have thought the Cards would trade away all three and only get a notable return for one of them?
At least we got a haul for Bader.

Does that mean Arenado is still feasible as well?

Similar situation with Mad Max: Fury Road and Furiosa. I didn't love Gladiator II but I liked it more than Furiosa, at least.
