RFK Jr is not going to just “determine the cause of autism.” That boiled kneecap has spent his life distorting scientific information. He’s not going to suddenly reveal a breakthrough in a field he barely understands.

I’ve never seen a tweet that more effectively communicates how we got to this current situation

I listened to some Traveling Wilburys today. I think it's gonna be a good day.

The US is kicking out foreign students for no valid reason. I mean, there's xenophobia as a reason, but that's not a valid one.

BREAKING: New national sales tax of 10-145% on virtually everything Tax started by Trump, and Republicans in Congress refuse to stop him There — THAT is what the tariffs really mean

BREAKING: Women may no longer be able to vote if their birth certificates don't match married names. You know in The Handmaid's Tale when Gilead suddenly eliminates women's bank accounts in one fell swoop? That's what Republicans in Congress are doing to women's voting rights.

Trump says egg prices are down 79%. Reality? They're up 5.9% this month alone.

Things that Nick Langworthy doesn't care about: Holding in-person town hall meetings. Women's right to choose. Senior healthcare. Childhood nutrition. Anyone making under $1 million. Safe and fair elections. Clean drinking water. Clean breathable air. Profitable farms. And a whole lot more

The SAVE Act would: - make it harder for Americans to vote - address a problem that doesn't exist - impose new burdens on state election administrators House Republicans passed it anyway. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

House Republicans voted to overturn the CFPB's cap on excessive overdraft fees — which was expected to save consumers $5 billion annually. The House also struck down CFPB oversight over payment apps run by Big Tech companies. The GOP is the party of letting you get ripped off.

House Republicans just voted to slash Medicaid and food stamps so they can afford more tax cuts for billionaires. Shocker.

Billionaires are now worth a record $9 TRILLION. Trump and the Republicans are trying to cut Medicaid, SNAP, and education to give them more tax breaks. Really.

I wrote about how Fox News is misleading its viewers by telling them Trump and Congressional Republicans aren't considering massive cuts to Medicaid to fund tax cuts for the wealthy. Turns out slashing Medicaid is unpopular, including among Trump supporters. Latest for @mmfa.bsky.social

The House just passed its budget resolution, so reconciliation is now officially underway. This is their bill to destroy Medicaid and SNAP while cutting taxes disproportionately for the rich. THIS IS VERY REAL and can be enacted even if all Ds vote no. Thread on what's to come and WHERE TO FIGHT.

I swear to God that if @schumer.senate.gov or @kirstengillibrand.bsky.social don't filibuster (or support a filibuster) of this bill....

House Republicans passed the budget resolution, green lighting massive tax cuts for the ultra wealthy. They're going to cut funding for health care, nutrition, and other critical human needs in order to line the pockets of CEOs and billionaires.

The entire reason you curb the exercise of arbitrary power is it prevents one asshole's mood swings from wrecking an entire country! You don't praise it when it momentarily swings in your favor

The upward redistribution of wealth over the past 50 years has shifted $80 trillion from the bottom 90% of Americans to the top 1%.  That’s $80 trillion that would have gone into the paychecks of the working class. The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

Sure, Kamala Harris would have have preserved our global power and domestic prosperity. But she would have done so as a Black woman. by Pete Hegseth and Stephen Miller

THIS! ❤️

I still can’t figure out when “we can deport you” turned into “we can put you in a hell hole prison in a third country, indefinitely, with no legal recourse.”

You set the house on fire, watched it burn, and then lost your nerve and put it out. You now have a partially burned house. Great job.

Are you a woman who changed your name when you got married? Congress is considering a bill that could make it much harder for you to vote. Call your rep—this is not a drill. indivisible.org/resource/cal...

Sept. 23, 2024: "But threatening to not vote or signaling to others that it’s fine to not vote doesn’t make you a progressive; it makes you a childish clown who clearly doesn’t understand the stakes." charlotteclymer.substack.com/p/all-that-m...

Good morning. A reminder that historically when the US has wanted to punish other countries, it imposed sanctions on them, cutting their people off from global trade, hoping to create enough economic havoc that they rein in their leaders. Trump has imposed economic sanctions on the American people.

SpaceX just landed a $5.92B contract with the Pentagon for Space Force rocket launches — the largest contract among the three firms who secured deals to send satellites into orbit. While DOGE cuts essential services for you, Musk is getting a taxpayer-funded windfall. Hello?

Another Nazi coincidence?

This would be a war crime.

Americans seeking retirement or survivor benefits from the Social Security Administration will no longer be able to apply over the phone, starting next week.

“Special kind of stupid.”

"The implication...is that not only noncitizens but also U.S. citizens could be taken off the streets, forced onto planes, and confined to foreign prisons with no opportunity for redress if judicial review is denied unlawfully before removal. History is no stranger to such lawless regimes..."

DM: What’s your backstory like? Newbie: Well, I wrote 10 pages about my first character ever, and I love them so much. DM: Great, what about you? Veteran: This is my goblin named Skrem. He is looking for the last can of beans in existence. That is all. DM:...Perfect. #DnD

The guy who inexplicably thinks “groceries” is a word from Middle English is likely not going to be the one who solves the crisis in grocery prices

Are you fucking kidding me? I guess the Chief Justice believes that the Federal government can render anyone - including citizens - to a foreign prison without judicial review and due process. The US is ... fucked.

Every Republican politician needs to be asked if they agree with Trump's position that an American citizen can be rendered to a foreign prison without due process, court review, or ability to be returned to the US.

And to be clear, the government's argument in the Abrego Garcia case would apply even if it sent someone, including a U.S. citizen, to a foreign prison intentionally and with full knowledge that it was violating the law in doing so.

The only thing that Mush can develop is withdrawal symptoms from ketamine.

Trump golfs while America burns.

There it is…

Well one good thing I can say about Facebook is that without it I wouldn’t know how many of my childhood friends turned out to be dipshits.

Things that are not made in the US: Coffee (except small amounts in Hawaii) Clothes Cars Furniture Electronics Cell phones

This must be investigated as corruption.

The entire budget of the National Endowment for the Humanities (which has been devastated by Trump & Musk) is 3% of this.
