For about three seconds, I thought those were all rats, and I felt my soul teleport from my body

People are being so civil. If you cant offer an example, STFU. You have no authority or familiarity with the subject and to offer drivel is the height of cyber-arrogance and you should shut your mouth about what you don't know about.

Gail. As I look over this magic cauldron, adding vegan animal tails, trying to manifest my wishes, I am hoping you somehow find a way, if you're interested, to write a Jubilee/Lila Cheney heist miniseries, drawn by Fiona Staples. As above, so below.

The crazy thing is, before I even went looking for a puncture. I had people read it and give me blurbs. Got some heavy hitters to read and blurb the book, but alas. Yeah, so, self-publishing it is. I may write a piece about this journey.

4. "With the DEI backlash, now it is not the time for us to wade into the discussion." Once again, that's not what the book is about. It's about fatherhood in general.
"Didn't Bill Cosby already do a book on fatherhood?" WTF!!??

3. I won't get into too much detail, but these are the responses that I received:
- "You do not have enough social media followers for us to publish your book."
"no disrespect, but people don't want to read about black fatherhood." Not what the book is about, at all.

2. There were some okay websites: daddydialectic and the dad collective. Aside from these, most sources about fatherhood were either people self-flagellating about how bad they were, or how amazing they were. Nothing felt true, or reflective of my experience.

I am so ridiculously sick of cowards. If our institutions are going to capitulate so quickly, what the hell are we even doing?

Seriously. What can they do? No power. No social currency. Aligning with MAGA. I'm genuinely curious.

@gavinnewsom.bsky.social sure didn't help. Capitulation is ugly.

Because the Democrats are feckless. That no one stood by this dude is disgusting.
