The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much, it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little. -Franklin D. Roosevelt, 32nd US President (30 Jan 1882-1945

It is clearly time for new leadership in the Democratic party. Throw out those collaborating with the overt destruction of the US Constitution.

Despite what you may have thought about his Presidency, he was unquestionably the best Ex-President we've ever had. A class act all the way to the end. I'll miss him.

This is from Rod Serling, "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street," from _The Twilight Zone_, S1E33, March 6, 1960.
Available on YouTube and probably other places.
[Tip of the hat to Anu Garg, <[email protected]> at A.Word.A.Day for reminding me of this in Monday's (23Dec) thought for the day.]

Does anyone know if they plan to bring the new states in as all slave states or would some of them be free states à la the Missouri Compromise?
