If I think all the way through what this post would entail, it’s almost as chilling as the circumstances under which it makes sense for you to have written it in the first place.

In the Jenkins and Jonez Beast Bracket, 4% of voters thought five unarmed humans could win a fight with two tigers. https://x.com/jenkinsandjonez/status/1682484092162437120

I strolled through high school maths barely paying attention and got like 5 points combined in the 2 or 3 maths exams at university that I was obliged to continue past first year.

iOS Safari doesn’t let you go over 500 and will overwrite existing tabs with new ones if you’re not paying attention: I try to limit my tabs there to 498 so I have a buffer. Generally the thing that works best for culling tabs is when a browser bug loses them all. Occasionally I buy a new computer.

I second the recommendation of Shrinking. It’s terrific. If you haven’t seen Detectorists yet that is a very warm, gentle treat.

Probably you don’t want to taking any advice from Vimscript, but it uses ==? for case insensitive and ==# for case sensitive. So is == case insensitive or case sensitive, I hear you ask. It depends. (!)

Hi! Yes it definitely helps to be able to rotate it. I did it on a tablet with a stylus, which worked pretty well. Enjoy!

I read “later” as meaning “died longer ago”, classified Kidby as Kirby’s son, because they have the same surname(?) and because I knew Kirby was the original illustrator and people’s children often take up their mantle after they pass and then got very confused trying to figure out the timeline.

Oh! And also one that’s the same except just before I discover it was me that wrote the answer I think to myself, “Well that’s not how *I* would do it.”

Hahaha I’ve done this. Also the one where I find an interesting question on the Vim StackExchange, wonder how to solve it, start reading the top-rated answer and halfway through looked at the avatar and discover I wrote it.

I’ve got a few punch cards knocking around in my loft. They were my dad’s though.

I can’t be dealing with all these newfangled networking doohickeys. What’s wrong with Econet that’s what I say.

Then I agree!

Networking, but… without wires? What is this dark magick?!
