For no reason at all, I feel the need to remind folks that Node.js is not in competition with other runtimes like Deno or Bun. Companies compete. For profit entities compete. Private equity competes. Non-profits do not compete. Non-profits just exist. Use Node.js, use Deno, use Bun, use what works..

It's awesome when you meet people who inspire you not because of their achievements, but because of who they are as people.

Unwinding, processing and recharging after a fantastic @localfirstconf.com

Really cool talk on Async and Suspense by @devagr.bsky.social. Love the demo at the end of the talk.

arrived at Berlin yesterday and enjoyed a great community unconference day at @localfirstconf.com presenting @haikuos.bsky.social and my project SEN! Already found some new friends and existing or new Haiku enthusiasts:) #conference #Haiku #localfirst #presentation #networking

Using git-for-data time travelling with TerminusDB saved the day. Our static website builder gave up building our RSS feed today... Switched GraphQL endpoint to a specific commit, branching, merging, asserting correctness of the metadata. It was too smooth! Wrote a point on it 🚀 🤩 #buildinpublic

Companies in the EU are starting to look for ways to ditch Amazon, Google, and Microsoft cloud services amid fears of rising security risks from the US. But cutting ties won’t be easy.

Expertise means nothing if you can't communicate it effectively. You should be able to translate complex concepts into simple language that clients actually understand.

Picking your market is far more important than picking any one feature, and might be more important than every feature you will ever build.

I feel confident in predicting history will judge this decade or so as the absolutely stupidest time in American history. Honestly our kids and grandkids will read about this time and be shocked that adults existed.

Looking back on a wonderful (again) PKM Summit from my project's perspective, read all about tool- vs. data-centric design and the elegance of a native semantic desktop with built-in semantic entity and relation support, allowing to build custom apps: open.substack.com/pub/senlabs/...

Hi, I'm the guy who used to oversee the federal government's agency IT telecommunications contracts. This is extremely bad. There is absolutely no need for this. Not only is it a huge security exposure, but the simplest explanation for this is that it is meant to be a security exposure.

As last year, this year's #pkmsummit2025 was a blast! Great #people, #conversations, #talks, #workshops, food and drinks! Found my tribe and loving it! Ticket for #pkmsummit2026 is already waiting in my wallet🤩

Stayed up too late, learned how to use Penpot @penpot.app a bit better, got stickers + sticker sheets ordered for #ATmosphereConf from @jukeboxprint.bsky.social that I'm very excited about! And: got custom atproto emoji uploaded to the events discord.

Facebook has a court order preventing the promotion of a memoir about the platform, Zuck and Sandberg. It would be a shame if people shared it.
