This is the case in virtually every city. Even Jersey transit and LIRR have this problem. It's horrific for people with nighttime jobs

In the sense that, like, there are probably more Myrie voters with Cuomo as a #3 than Mamdani voters, it could factor. At the same time, I think that level of numerical analysis approaches self-punditing voting. I'm just gonna vote for everyone I like in order, with A Adams as backup

Either way, whichever candidate that ends up in the finals with Cuomo will get your vote. It will almost certainly be Mamdani but it doesn't matter

I think it's also important to note that voters feel more than just vibes, and can suss out incompetence even if their general economic conditions are going okay

You are aware that from 1932 to 1994, Democrats controlled the House for all but 4 years? "It'll all flip back" is not at all guaranteed

Jerry Spinelli's Loser, to the point that I didn't even make it to the end. I think I was 12 and felt more pathetic than the protagonist despite not having his problems.

Y’all, the shortages are coming and they are baked in. Even if all the tariffs disappear tomorrow the resulting surge will logjam the system. Also it doesn’t seem like they are disappearing tomorrow. Just cause multinationals can navigate this doesn’t mean countless small businesses aren’t toast.

Explaining to people that it's actually byzantine to immigrate here and a lot of people are "illegal" by technicality has fixed so many people I know
