I can understand how you got there. I would argue though that encouraging more reaction to the reactionary politics on the right ultimately leads down a darker path of tribalism that does not help our politics. Yes, call out every time Republicans do awful shit, but it should be based in truth.

..that are themselves born out of our unique perspectives & abilities. I really don’t even feel the need to get into the validity of this study or that study with people who don’t see me as a full human or inferior in some way. If their goal is truly to eradicate autism, that’s weird. They’re weird.

The question is, will the Democratic Party run more candidates nation-wide that have policies AND politics that are more populist and more progressive to incentivize down-ballot voting? I actually did a presentation project in 10th grade history about Seuss’ work in relation to his views and how those views shifted in the context of American isolationism in WW2. Wish I remembered more of it 😆

…fall away. Not only is it imperative to the process of restructuring the way we work and live in our collective spaces to operate on a policy of mutual aid, mutual respect, and cooperation, as opposed to the current hierarchies we are prey to. It is also imperative…

When we begin actually having real conversations with our coworkers, neighbors, & people in our communities about wages, rent prices, benefits, organizing, unionizing, utilizing our collective power to undermine & dismantle white supremacy and the owner class, the distractions of “identity politics”

It definitely did depress turnout. I think out of all the factors at play, the biggest contributor to bad turnout amongst the non-GOP voting folks was the Dems’ lack of strong, clear messaging about specific actions that would be taken to help the working class to foster the “opportunity economy”.
